  1. Some surprisingly good choices here considering football fans tend to traditionally err on the side of indie landfill with their music taste. Big thumbs up to the Boards of Canada fans as I have them in my list too. Boards of Canada - Music Has the Right to Children Burial - Untrue Global Communication - 76'14 Broadcast - The Noise Made By People Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot Plenty of others could have made the list. Not least Reign In Blood by Slayer, The Ecstatic by Mos Def, It Takes A Nation Of Millions by Public Enemy, Drums & Guns by Low, What's Going On by Marvin Gaye, Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys, Stories From The City by PJ Harvey and Ten by Pearl Jam.
  2. The Man Utd game kicked off at 3pm. We'd gone by 1215 so plenty of time to get to the pub before kick off.
  3. Sorry, thought you were talking about the game this Saturday.
  4. I loved it because he'll be the new Guly. I have a thing for players who run past 3 players then fall over or do everything right until the crucial moment before shanking it horribly wide. It may not be good for the team but it will be funny.
  5. Kicks off at 5pm. Only know because I checked earlier. Had presumed it was 3pm myself. Before the Man Utd game I took my son to get autographs at 1130. The only player we missed was Lallana, who had gone in early to do some media work/speak to Brendan Rodgers. The rest arrived between 1130 and 1200 and all of them stopped and signed autographs and posed for photos. Some barriers are put up at the Chapel end and the fans stand behind them. Players pull up and work their way down the barrier signing for everyone. There were probably 150 fans there by the time the players got in the ground. A mixture of kids and parents, a few obsessives and some old geezers in leather jackets getting stuff signed to sell on ebay.
  6. I know a man who knows a man that could sort you out if you're looking for something.
  7. I was prepared to give him at least the first 5 minutes of his debut before deciding, but luckily S-Clarke has saved me the time.
  8. Seriously though, just step away from here. Or at the least think about what you are posting before you hit the reply button. Every thread is littered with your constant, incessant whining or niggly little jibes. And the worst thing about this monotonous b*llocks is that none of it is adding anything of interest to the debate.
  9. Probably not. And it bothers me not one bit.
  10. Some think we might finish 8th again, although I'm not sure if that's the 8th which is top of the 8th-14th league or the one that's bottom of the 4th-8th league.
  11. Scott Bevan was coaching my son earlier at the training academy he runs. He's also Pompey's goalkeeping coach.
  12. We've slapped in £10 million bid according to the Mirror http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/southampton-closing-marcos-rojo-saphir-3939148
  13. If Taider is a swap for Cork at least we may get the odd goal from that position
  14. In the same way you are 'aggressively' spamming the forum with drivel?
  15. Isgrove must have texted Bale, who then told his Mum while she was in the hairdressers. She mentioned it to the hairdresser who just happens to be the sister of this journo's best friend. A conspiracy theory no wilder than many on here.
  16. With Craig Gordon at Celtic it looks like they'll be selling Forster at some point before the end of the transfer window. I'm sure we can wait. I'd rather we spent £9m on Forster than £6m on Marshall.
  17. At least it was minutes spent where he wasn't moaning on here.
  18. That says to me that Deschamps is a narrow minded fool, which is not Southampton's fault.
  19. Get a grip. Kids being bombed while sheltering in a school in Gaza is sickenng. He's a highly paid footballer who, having signed a fat, juicy contract, should get on and do what his employers tell him.
  20. I'll say it again. Everton can offer him 2 things we won't to our players: £60k+ a week and European football.
  21. £60k+ a week in wages would be one reason.
  22. More on Vlaar http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/article-2710112/Aston-Villa-defender-Ron-Vlaar-says-meet-agent-discuss-future-Southampton-linked-Holland-international.html
  23. One of the comments under that says Jambo 9 hours ago My friend Gareth is the CFO at Saints and he says they're well prepared for this, and looking forward to what's coming next. He says they realised early on in the season that quite a few players will want to be leaving, and they have in place a system that is going to promote youth players and they are looking at the Newcastle Utd/ FC Porto approach or securing young players with high potential sell on values, and also the Moneyball approach of signing cheap players who get the job done. They're also the perfect club for top teams to loan players to, so there's potential there too. Southampton are line to become a very astute, wealthy club, and the future looks very bright after speak with Gareth.
