Things you had achieved by the time you were 25....?
The Cat replied to saint_stevo's topic in The Lounge
A meaningless degree and a daily pot habit. Although both of these did combine to help me start my first and only business from which I'm now retired, albeit with slightly less fame, fortune and prison time than Howard Marks. -
I saw Bale, Walcott and Lallana play together in the Under 18's. Does that count?
-
That's the one.

Think you're right there. Henry also broke his duck against us. Serves us right for singing "what a waste of money" at him!
-
Saints played Everton at St Mary's when Rooney was 17, and I remember spending a lot of the game just watching him. His movement, touch, skill, reading of the game and anticipation at that age was just ridiculous. Hoddle was quite amazing, saw him a few times in his pomp. Gazza, Bergkamp, Zola, Ronaldo, Henry, Beckham, Cantona etc etc. Giggs was incredible against Saints most times. Have to say Essien is one of the best players in the world right now, there's very few players as complete as him. I did see George Best, although he was about 38 at the time and playing in a charity match so well past it!

The Spending Review (tackling the Socialists debt mountain)

Interesting article here on Sweden and it's immigration policies. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/sep/18/swedish-elections-far-right -
The Spending Review (tackling the Socialists debt mountain)
The Cat replied to dune's topic in The Lounge
From my limited knowledge of economics and what I've read over the past few years I'd be inclined to agree with anything this bloke says. He was predicting the crashes and recession long before they happened, and if the BOE committee had listened to his views on when to raise and lower interest rates then we may not have been in such a mess in the first place. -
That would be over the bridge into Swanwick. We've still got an SO postcode thank Christ. As for Farnborough, it was them that knocked the mighty Hamble out in the last round, 2-0. Having been born in Kent I'd like to wish Dover good luck, bit since a 6th Form football match against their school which ended in a scrap and them chasing after our minibus I hope they lose about 17-0.
-
I've seen Hamble a couple of times. Doing pretty well this season after an opening day thumping from Winchester City, although a good run in the FA Cup Qualifying rounds has left them with a huge fixture backlog and a slightly false league position. They don't have a website.

It was the last time I had sex. Not bad going for an old bloke though, I'm in my 100's now so unlikely it'll happen again especially as my love Doris has now sadly passed away. She was a game girl, wasn't bothered what hole.

Bert - I think that Dirt is better for not having that song on it. I find Man In A Box a bit cheesy! Which remix is that LV? There's seemingly hundreds of Timber remixes. And have you ever seen Hexstatic live? They are immense, one of the best live experiences you can have.
-
I absolutely love that song LV. Fair play for posting it. Goes nicely into this work of genius: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yQdr6r85Lys One of my favourite recent remixes:

Dickson looks decent to me. Direct runner, good on the ball, great crossing technique. Not sure about him defensively yet, he's always caught my eye when going forwards. Can't argue with buying him for the price we paid as he's worth more than that, and it's not as simple as saying if we hadn't signed him we'd have bought a winger or a striker instead. This isn't some management simulation game where you run out of transfer funds and have to go cap in hand to the board for more, it's real life.
-
Guly, then a 30 minute tear around for Barnard once their defence has tired. He was bad enough at full back under twitchy, no way would I want to see him up front.
-
At least we know where Avram would have celebrated their 4-1 win last season.
-
Not sure Strachan had much to do with that. Davies' ankle wasn't right at the time after his injury, and his head was in a very bad place due to one of his best mates dying and other family related issues. For his own good Davies needed a fresh start, and to get away from the area.
-
Got us very fit and playing consistent, if slightly one dimensional football. Think he was lucky that we had some decent players at the time whose morale and team ethic he improved. Seemed like the players (Fernandes excepted) wanted to do well and win for him. Either that or they were just all **** scared of Pendry and were too afraid to lose.

Anyone been? http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/8452538.Sex_racket_run_from_house_in_heart_of_Southampton/ If the punishment for helping to run the place was only 150 hours community service and £500 costs, I might try for a similar job.

hahahaha

League position similar, but that's where it ends. Our playing style is now so much better, as is our defence. Team morale is noticeably improved and also we are now managed by a bloke with much less arrogance.
-
Seconded. Bill's for a great fry up breakfast is worth a visit too.

I'll take a couple of red balls off you. It's for an art project I'm now working on which was inspired by a post on this forum last night. It's a life size sculpture of dune and Maggie Thatcher together. The snooker balls will act as his knackers, red raw after she's ridden him to the point of ultimate ecstasy while he's reaching round and sliding 2 fingers up her sweet smelling tight hole. I'm hoping for a Turner Prize nomination when it's finished, or at least a spot somewhere in an exhibition at the Guildhall.
-
Only ever bought food from there once. It ended up all over the pavement near the Guildhall after my stomach sensibly rejected it. Taste buds only deemed it fit to pass due to the ridiculous amount of lager I'd drunk.
-
Bexy - that's a great song. Also spawned one of my favourite remixes of all time. This was the sound of many a Big Chill when it used to be at Larmer Tree in the mid to late 1990's.

Dune's last post on this thread is possibly the best thing ever written in the history of the world, and even better for the fact he spent an hour and 7 minutes editing it into perfection.
