So protestors who focused on the police were idiots and there was no need for the police to be mindful of the optics. If it remained a peaceful vigil maybe it would have been policed accordingly but it didn't, whose fault is that, I dont know but normally there is blame on both sides. So given that we are in the middle of a lockdown, that we are all fucked off so anything that jeopardises opening up is wrong. So maybe people haven't got much sympathy for the protesters that hi-jacked this memorial. They protest and then moan about it being policed and like a bunch of self-indulgant privileged karens demand Dick's head.

Imteresting. Fashionable Brighton would fancy their chances of that, they are putting in more seats to make it eligible for international games. Although they would struggle to expand any further and accessibility is a bit rubbish.

My mate lived on Charlton Lane behind the ground, I went down there for the first game back at the Valley in the vain hope of getting a ticket of a tout, no chance. We were outside the ground when the players ran and and the noise was amazing, even better than the Camara goal against Norwich.

I didn't make it very clear, but my point was directed at the post reporting, where it has been reported as a vigil when it was a protest. Police man handling women whilst dispersing a vigil that broke covid regulations is a different story to police arresting protesters for breach of the peace or whatever it was for. You can't arrest someone who won't go quietly with out it looking heavy handed.

True, so it shouldn't be called a vigil.

Different people, different views, different event. For some it was a vigil others it was a protest.

There are as many reported clotting issues with the non-English Pfizer vaccine, approximately the same level of clotting issues as the non-vaccinated population.

I can see why the BBC gets people wound up, they have taken the line that this was a peaceful vigil and not examined it at all. So many articles I've heard the word manhandled with the emphasis each time on the man. On twitter I saw, what people on here would describe as woke, claiming hypocrisy for the way the police dealt with the satute protests and dover immigrant protests but not mention how the police dealt the BLM protests. I've heard people say that the police only acted that way because Sarah was killed by a copper. The same police force that caught the killer within days and was revulsed when they knew who it was. After Priti Patel called the BLM protesters deplorable she couldn't then let a protest by white women go ahead unchallenged. Everyone is sick of lockdown and just wants it to be over and indulgent protests are a threat to the end of lockdown. I think some women got the outcome they were after.
