who just reflect their viewers/readers...so everyone.

The same forces that decides why one clothing brand succeeds whilst another fails, that elevates one celebrity or song or joke over another. Cultural memes float around society and the prevalent ones become dominant. Society is made up of thousands of sub-groups with no way of coming to a formal consenus. So some form of agreement naturally happens, but these will often be at odds with your own views. You can accept it or send some alternative memes out (which you do) and see how they get on.

Cancel culture is perpetrated by both right and left by the way. Is it really cancel culture to want to no longer celebrate someone from history. Take Colston for example, his stature was put up over 170 years after his death to celebrate his philanthropy, in part to cover up the shame of his slave links. It was erected to represent the values of that current generation, so it should be ok to want to remove it to reflect the values of this current generation.

A joke answer but either way it illustrates different simpler times.

I like the name, will give it a listen. I like The Saints Podcast or whatever it's called but haven't listened for a while due to general lockdown and Saints apathy. -
To honour our family club status, it could be of the wotsit song.

I don't think there will be a third wave, we were behind the european timeline all through this but then I reckon the kent variant pushed us ahead of Europe, so our second wave just merged with our third. But we need to exit correcty and keep the borders a bit tighter than we have and we have a chance of coming out and staying out. Personally I would rather have pubs and restaurants open than a foreign holiday.

It felt longer than 1 season with us, shows the impact he had on me as a teenager. Great player in an era where you could still be a maverick.

Isn't that a ship company touting it's space to government's to make a bit of money from their idle assets, a bit different to suggesting government's compel people to quarantine on cruise ships. For what it's worth I didn't think your idea was that mental.

I read about it on the Guardian website at about 10pm last night. It was on BBC breaking news twitter before 9pm. It was a provincial demonstration that would only get reported on if there was mass disorder, there was and it was reported on. Just checked the Daily Mail twitter to see how late the woke Beeb and Guardian were at reporting it. They had it as breaking news at 9.30pm.

Ok, they are defunding the army. Redirecting it to a drone squad and the marines. I forgot when I was posting earlier on the bog in between year end accounts and a zoom with security that the posts would be forensically examined by Weston Super Brain.

I don't think it's that relevant an idea in this country, but if there are activities that would benefit from being done by another agency then it's worth exploring, don't you think.
-
If you say so.
-
It's multi-coloured.
-
That's what defunding is, re-directing funds to other services. So there's no need to be scared of the term like some people are.
-
I see the Tories are looking to defund the military.
-
Of course it wasn't ignored by the news.

Southampton 0-1 Leicester - Match Thread

Would have preferred Man U, nevermind we can beat Leicester. -
No, hump as in sulking.
-
I think that might demonstrate their mindset at the moment. They need to get over the hump, figuratively and literally.

The right wing at the vanguard of cancel culture.

Quite, there are dicks on both sides.

No one in that article is saying he should get a tougher sentance because he is a cop, just that he should get a tougher sentance full stop. With out the full facts its hard to conclude on the sentance, but what is disgraceful is that after pleading guilty he hasn't been sacked already. The lady has said that the knowledge that he is a cop has made it harder for her. I can understand that. The event can't be dismissed as the actions of a drunken idiot, that just completely undermines what the lady went through and that way of thinking is part of the problem.

My response was quicker off the mark and more human, so 2-0 really. And it's Fan The Flames
