The frequency of games and the travelling to the NE twice in a week has made it hard. Before hand I would have given up a win against Brighton at home in return for not losing at Man U and Everton.
-
That's a complete red(cafe) herring, the injury time carried on for about four minutes after we scored. Mau U really fucked up yesterday, going third with three games to go would have put them in the driving seat, no wonder their fans are gutted. I'm really pleased it was our late goal that robbed them of that.
-
I was very surprised that wasn't given. After the Arsenal sending off the other game I thought that was a shoe in.

And KWP, he was so narrow on the build up and then got drawn over to Martial, leaving Rashford free the whole time. Maybe he was expecting JWP to come back and cover. Couldn't handle Martial running at him for the second. The right side was really weak for a chunk of the first half, but they tightened it up without Ralph having to change it greatly. And KWP has a good cross when he gets forward. Bad period but not bad player.

I wonder if the 'patriots' will come out and 'protect' the Trafalgar Square fountains

I'm not being selective, I haven't said it only applies to one side, you need to read more and stop acting on your prejudices. Normally people who scream hypocrisy don't care about the issue really or can't be arsed to argue the merits of their case, they just think a charge of hypocrisy is a winning hand. I remember seeing a documentary on the far right and radical muslims, they were in groups a few meters apart both screaming 'pedophiles' at each other. Different but the same, they didn't or couldn't argue their case so went straight for what they perceived was a winning argument, 'we are right because you are pedophiles'. It was pathetic. Trying to spring a forum hypocrisy gotcha is desperate and more so when their example is so shit.

I think you dad is amazing to able to work zoom and still working well into his 90's.

I think people rightly felt aggrieved that the laws that applied to them didn't apply to the Tory elite and the people screaming hypocrisy in this event were the ones screaming 'but but Stephen Kinnock'. Backing up my point entirely about being desperate.

Bollocks, would a statement stop the hoards of rabid cancel culture left wingers that we were led to believe were just waiting for anyone to deny the knee. Are you saying if James McClean had released a statement before he didn't wear a poppy then he wouldn't have got death threats.

Because the equivalent of tipping Colston's statue into the water would be taking John Taylor's picture of the paper's masthead, not closing down the Guardian. Because the equivalent thing to that would be knocking down Colston Hall. No one has asked for that, so to claim an equivalence is desperate, but then I find most people screaming about hypocrisy on the internet are desperate.
-
To claim hypocrisy is a real stretch.

The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

I thought the whole idea of testing was to allow people to come out of isolation early. -
Can you really admonish people for virtue signalling when you are only one of two posters on here to make a point of having a black friend 😁

Hang on a minute I thought the fear of vilification for non knee takers by the nasty left would mean this wouldn't happen. Another misconception put to bed.

Who would you rather beat Everton or Man U? My hatred for Everton is hard wired as I've hated them for so long, Man U aren't far behind but I would love to beat Everton tonight. The games are coming around so quickly it's going to be a challenge.

https://store.celticfc.net/celtic-mens-home-shirt-19-20-with-long-sleeves-and-no-sponsor Celtic sell kits without sponsor. I think clubs with betting firms can't have the sponsor on youth kits and Celtic have chosen to also offer adult kits without them as well.
-
Traditional kits stopped in the 70's.
-
I don't mind it, which is unusual on day 1 of an UA kit, they really are quite shit. I think they were correct having the red version as our home kit, we are a red team rather than a white team. I know technically we are a red and white team but red is the dominant colour. Although I would prefer the sash to go the other way.

A lot of people were treated badly during the lockdown by the NHS, my father in law was discharged from hospital when he should have been kept in. We were left struggling at home looking after a very sick person and trying to access the care services he needed was a horrendous battle, our GP refused to visit because of corona, even though he had tested negative. She even refused to visit to certify his death until we said we were making a complaint, then she came in full hazard suit to feel his pulse. This next part of the story is disgusting, my FiL had a defib implant which should have been switched off because he was dying and in their rush to discharge him they didn't. We hit brick wall after brick wall trying to get someone out to switch it off, we were asked to drive him 25 miles to a hospital car park where someone 'may' be able to help. He died with it in and it went off, he was denied a dignified death. Two of our good friends had their cancer treatment stopped, one mid course and one at the beginning of her treatment, because the cancer unit had no way of testing patients to see who had covid and who didn't. This ring fencing facilities and reconfigured pathways is rhetoric, for this you need hot and cold facilities but without the testing you don't know who should be accessing what facility and it takes time to set up these facilities and new pathways. I think the lack of a proper testing strategy is at the heart of most of the issues with the pandemic. There was a period when the NHS could not think of anything other than coronavirus and that was because of lack of government planning and a Tory non-urgent attitude. My experience, from working in a hospital and having a sick father in law is that non frontline services simply closed the doors and a lot of people were let down. Having witnessed it and the level of entitlement of some of the staff I work with, I found it difficult to clap on a Thursday night. I know 2020 it littered with tons of great NHS stories but there will be a equal amount of bad stories and I hope there will be an enquiry one day and a call for evidence.

Heard a great article on Radio 4, this care home have had no covid cases and all because the deputy care manager had a boyfriend who worked in Spain. They chatted every day on the phone and she got a sense of what was coming, so using google she devised and enacted a very effective plan.
-
Would people have moaned if Man C has equalised, we were all waiting for it really. We beat them for effort, that and a little bit of luck (they were very wasteful) was enough to beat their superior quality this time. Also if Armstrong had taken that chance in the second half, which in my opinion he should have, then things would have worked out more nicely then they did.
-
I thought the Armstrong miss was going to cost us and then I convinced myself the free kick at the end was it. But we magnificently held out. I think we can agree Stephens can head the ball.

I think God assisting Ben Mee to score last is proof they approve of BLM.
