  1. Worse than in goals 'in nets' the Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrelisation of football. Them instead of those, even the most eloquent footballers say 'them players'. Your Manchester Uniteds, your Arsenals, your Tottenhams; using 'your' to set up an example and then listing all the examples. Using Football Club to stress a point as in 'this style of football isn't good enough for Manchester United Football Club'.
  2. That's Eton Musk. Base notes of montecristo, with top notes of burnt Chateau Lafite Rothschild and a lingering smell of corruption. For the under educated and over confident man in your life.
  3. Also cost the government £200m in grants to their ports mate to build the infrastructure that will now be mothballed. The Tax Payers Alliance should be up in arms, if they weren't a biased Tufton Street think tank.
  4. If only Starmer didn't need to eat.
  5. I researve the right to pile in on Johnson at any time 😁. Worst PM ever.
  6. Well it could be who was on the shoot, like JWP and not FF.
  7. The Tories are getting desperate now, I think they should just move on so Labour can get on with the important work of holding this rotton government to account. People don't want to hear about currys and pizza they want to hear about solutions to the Tory cost of living crisis, bent PPE deals and resolving the Ukraine invasion.
  8. This may be true but will it be part of JWPs reckoning, most players moving to a new team will back themselves to make it. Ings would have thought he could go to Villa and score like he did here, JWP will be the same.
  9. That one is so bad and it's true you can't work out who is defending.

    Russia

Russia is now threatening 'consequences' if we ban Russian oil, it seems that he is as reliant on cash from the west as we are on Russian energy. Maybe we have each other by the bollocks.

    Russia

Countries like Germany banked on the notion that high levels of interconnection, rather than reliance, would help to moderate Russia's behaviour. Being reliant on Russian oil and gas makes Russia reliant on their cash, also it was believed to be helpful to have a positive relationship with Russia and so enable them to be able to mediate. With a normal rational leader this may have worked. But it didn't account for a steroid addled brain of a legacy chasing evil lunatic who doesn't give a shit about his people but only about a mythical greater Russia and Russian respect from the rest of the world. Putin gambled that the west can't quickly switch from Russian oil and gas and the intelligence (tailored to what the nutter wanted to hear) was saying that the Ukraine invasion will be over in days. But the gambled has backfired. Russia's standing in the world is at it's lowest, it's traditional sphere of influence turns more westward, he has further damaged his reputation at home and the agents that keep him in power may start thinking about a regime change. Not to mention being pursued for war crimes. The consequences for Putin are exactly what he deserves, but it's nothing to crow about because it comes on the back of the deaths of thousands of innocent people.

His motivation was less about geopolitics and more about selling more US oil and gas to Europe.
  13. Yes nicking players is a big cause of dislike and Derby were up there for years for Wright and Shilton, rekindled by that playoff game. Hated Blackburn when they came into their money and for nicking Flowers and Shearer. Indifferent about both now, although I do get annoyed where places like these get classed as proper football towns, what does that even mean and why isn't Southampton.
  14. Hated Everton since 84 and it hasn't waned, I would love to see them go down. Man U are another childhood dislike from the 70's. Don't like Leciester, that's a bit of Vardy and a lot of envy. Newcastle and Brighton are irritating. Not prem, but I've always hated Stoke.
  15. Also the club promoted the Northam as the singing end as well, I am out of town so could rarely get a ticket for The Dell, so I didn't know much about what stand was what. So when I bought my ST for the first SMS season from the hut in The Dell car park, I was told by the salesman that the Northam would be the singing end.
  16. Just caught up with this thread on the train. Reading the last couple of weeks in a condensed time was very poignant, seeing Minsk's last few posts and then hearing the news from his daughter was very sad indeed. My thoughts go out to his family and friends.
  17. We've got to make chasing down 50 points our goal now. Or have I just but the mockers on it.
  18. The people who wait for the train ticket gate to completly close before putting their ticket in.
  19. A tory prick on Radio 4 yesterday, when asked of a brexit benifit could only offer the return of the crown on the pint glass as a 'substantial achievement'.
  20. Go on the Saints
  21. So when we say yes, is this when you pull out a favourable Saints quote from Hoddle?
  22. It was Royal that fouled Broja. I still can't see why it wasn't given, the ref was looking straight at it.
  23. Morris Elyounoussi
  24. You have to feel for me, I was stuck in the home end watching it and denied the opportunity to go mad when Che scored. The Spurs fans around me were so off about losing to 'shit Southampton, I mean come on fuckin Southampton at home, they're shit'. The Spurs fans don't realise what they are, they were so poor down the right side and in the middle that we had every chance of taking something from the game. The ref was shit, he let loads of fouls go especially in the last 10 when we were leading. Still didn't stop a brilliant win. I then had to skip along to the pub listening to my couple of Spurs mates moaning about the ref, VAR, time wasting, Emerson Royal. Happy days.
  25. He might have encouraged him to do it but he's had it up his sleeve for a while, it was discussed before hand and he was urged not to use it. Nadine Dorries tweeted about is six months ago and deleted her tweet, so it's something that the right wing have been knocking about for a while. It is shameful that a mainstream party has dragged itself into the gutter and trying to drag conspiracy theories from the fringes of the looney right wing into the mainstream. Never thought this would happen here, but never before has a party being taking over, the brexit wide boys, useless blond narcissist and incapable cabinet are in control. The ray of hope is that the wider political eco-system has come to the defence of our political system, we now need to solve how the record is corrected to stop Boris lying to parliament and maybe the Boris defenders will join the throngs of tory voters who have seen him for what he is.
