The club should put that picture up in the foyer of Staplewood. Could be a reminder to a players who's agents tell them they need to leave to achieve their ambitions.
  2. Thats pretty much what it will come down to. We'll still have the single market, free movement of labour, have to abide by EU legislation and contribute to the budget - but will no longer have any say or vote. On the plus side we can have the Union Jack on our passports and driving licences. Yay!
  3. We'll be Norway. Congrats.
  4. I love the fact that all four of the most prominent Brexiteers spent months telling us to be brave and vote for a strong independent Britain - but as soon as the going got a little tough they all fell apart like rain soaked copies of the Express. Thanks Boris, Farage, Gove and Leadsom its been, um, real.
  5. Pretty sure you lost it too. UKIP would have had 82 seats instead of 1 if we had PR at the 2015 election and your friends the SNP would have got 31 instead of 52. http://indy100.independent.co.uk/article/heres-how-the-election-results-would-look-under-a-proportional-voting-system--gJenQmaW2gW
  6. Lots of reaction on Twitter. I cant decide if this one is serious or not: Andy KP ‏@ASKirkpatrick 45m @GuidoFawkes They think it's all over. Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbour?
  7. Ya think?

Saw Schneiderlin and Fonte at the end. Ironic one left for 'ambition' and ended up being dropped. Had he stayed maybe he would have played and maybe even won.
  10. Awesome analysis. Insight, cogent argument, killer facts. You've proved indisputably there is no other possible result from PR than to end up like Spain. Germany uses PR, as do many / most of the rich stable democracies.
  11. It would be a rerun though - we've been there before. I don't remember the exact stats but the SDP had big media support, got 25% or so in the election and won just a handful of seats. As a result they faded away and ending up merging with the Liberals - another party which suffered from first past the post. I would love to see a multi party democracy so that everyone truly had a party to represent their views in Parliament - but its only viable when you have proportional representation, otherwise the large majority of the population might as well not vote. PR would enable creation of new parties which truly represent their supporters. Probably a third of the Tory party should be in UKIP and half the Labour party in the LDs. The fact you have 'entryists' in both major parties is because they know with the present voting system they'd gradually disappear or become irrelevant.
  12. This article says he's more of an attacking midfielder. http://www.just-football.com/2015/06/pierre-emil-hojbjerg-already-a-better-player-than-tottenham-star-christian-eriksen/
  13. Theresa May is taking us into the Eurozone!
  14. That's just plain bizarre and not a little scary -picketing a lawyer to protest use of the rule of law. Its part of the same mindset as burning books and lynchings
  15. Im more excited by the Great White Hope of Brexiteers not knowing that when you say stuff to a journalist in an interview there is a good chance they will print it. She's a car crash, which - as others have said - was doubtless the plan all along. May's track record of telling foreigners to go home is just going to take some of the headbanging vote from Leadsom.
  16. Like what? I didnt think much of her stint as Home Secretary but her failings there - not delivering what Cameron promised - isnt the same as lying about CVs or interviews.
  17. Gove is a more accurate comparison to Redwood imo. May is a safe pair of hands, a manager rather than visionary. The Labour party has the same problem - the best candidates aren't putting themselves forward for leader.
  18. The audio is now available. She said it. #project denial #littlefibberforPM http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-36753692
  19. At current rate of progress cant see Leadsom lasting until the ballot. I doubt her CV or personal affairs are squeaky clean enough to withstand the microscopic scrutiny they're going to get.
  20. The other real news from that interview is that she thinks its going to take 10 years to get out of the economic downturn Brexit causes. She does appear to have a problem with the truth.
  21. Que? Who are Terri & Angie?
  22. She's not bottling it, she's being held back by MPs who know she probably cant beat Corbyn and certainly cant win a general election.
  23. You posted up some credible links, well done. And? You need to do more than point out growth in Europe has been sluggish since 2007. We know. Its been sluggish across pretty much the whole developed world. Britain's real GDP per head is still lower than in 2007. Blaming low growth in developed countries on the EU is facile in the extreme. Is it to blame for low growth in Canada, the US and Japan too? https://www.google.co.uk/publicdata/explore?ds=d5bncppjof8f9_&met_y=ny_gdp_mktp_kd_zg&idim=country:CAN:USA:AUS&hl=en&dl=en#!ctype=l&strail=false&bcs=d&nselm=h&met_y=ny_gdp_pcap_pp_kd&scale_y=lin&ind_y=false&rdim=region&idim=country:CAN:USA:ITA:GBR:DEU:FRA:JPN:NLD&ifdim=region&tstart=1183762800000&tend=1404687600000&hl=en_US&dl=en&ind=false
  24. You're going to be so disappointed
