  1. If things stay at 3-0 we're above Chelsea and Spurs but behind Crystal Palace and Leicester. Could have got good odds on that.
  2. Exactly. A £12m player who wants to be here is going to be far better for the team than a £25m one who doesn't.
  3. A Corbyn win will be good for Labour in the longer term imo. The next general election is nearly five full years away. We'll have 2.5 years of Corbyn convincing people that whilst he is too dogmatic to be electable Labour does at least have the commitment to people instead of companies that many thought it had lost. Labour will be differentiated from the Tories again, a Cooper / Burnham win would only have re-inforced the perception of Labour as Tory lite. Corbyn will be ditched in plenty of time for the 2020 election and Miliband (D) will ride in on a populist wave.
  4. More like brother and sister whose dad won the Grand National.
  5. You would have thought Shakespeare of all people would know how to write and communicate clearly;)
  6. Can you actually see clearly when you are sat down in safe standing or does the rail get in the way? I fancy the idea but probably wouldn't stand the whole game.
  7. Signed for Barcelona, didn't play. Signed for Chelsea, didn't play. With a bit of luck he has realised what Bertrand did - theres more glamour and satisfaction in doing well for Saints than not appearing at a 'named' club.
  8. chips Doh Badger beat me to it. I demand a recount. Chips is a much better follow on to 'fish'. moan moan moan...
  9. Paid off your insolvency debts yet?
  10. Maybe thats why they want new floodlights...

  12. Its not even just the money. Your kids will be starting school fairly soon. You don't want to be forced to keep changing schools and moving away from their friends because another tenancy has ended. Sounds like you're having a hard time coming to the realisation the single life is over (not a criticism, most parents have that struggle, I did). Once you get over that hurdle planning for the long term becomes a no brainer imo.

  14. I used to buy hotel rooms and flights on priceline.com when they only took bookings from US residents. I used my UK cards with my UK address number, road and town but when it came to 'state' I put in Arkansas. Payments used to go through np. Try that with appropriate change for Denmark
  15. Celtic have good scouting network. Maybe should sign him direct and miss out the middleman...
  16. Seems to me at present we are stronger up front and a little weaker defensively. If Claisie proves to be a good replacement for MS and we get a good CB in then we'll be stronger than last year.
  17. "Its literally the tip of the iceberg" Must be the one that holed the club beneath the waterline New kiosk, hot water in the toilets, a new square slab of concrete for disabled fans. Its all go.

  19. We should club together and buy them this to make those dreams feel a bit more real http://www.sleepyheadsmailorder.co.uk/football-stadium-wallpaper-mural-199-p.asp
  20. I'm not sure the OP was about numeracy and logic.
  21. That compilation was made his agent. Hardly an objective look at a player.
  22. I don't think anyone can say with authority exactly what prices will do. However imo they will likely continue to rise because there are so few new houses being built, the population is increasing and the Bank of England will be very careful not to raise interest rates too fast and risk crashing the economy and housing market again. Even if prices rises stay at the current low (by historic terms) rate of around 4% that is still an increase in value of £8,000pa on an average house - £40,000 in five years, more than you could save. See if your mortgage company will agree to you paying interest only for a couple of years and use the cash saved to pay off your other debts faster. If you present it to them as prudence, ensuring you don't get into difficulties whist you have a temporary income squeeze they should go for it. Get a money adviser at CAB to help you frame the approach if necessary.
  23. Is your house increasing in value by more than your debt repayments? (it almost certainly is). For the average property in the UK cost £178,000 a year ago and now costs £188,000, so you've made as much money in a year as you would have spent to rent it. Houses make you money and as a nice bonus you get somewhere to live free - wrong, but true.
