Cant see that last post lasting long

Ive got a mate (a big fat guy) who for years wrote articles for Cosmo and Company - all variations on a theme of what men really want / like / need / go for. His research consisted of whtever he could think up at the time. Paid for a nice life all through university. Tangential I know, just thought I'd share...

Great. All change for 2011. Happy New Year one and all! Unless of course that just means since "UKIP represents your views perfectly on all issues" you won't actually be applying any discretion and will simply post UKIP videos.
-
So you wont be trotting out the leftie and commie tags every time someone posts evidence to show you're talking nonsense then? You'll be arguing back cogently with evidence of your own?
-
Dune. Have you ever considered that some people form their own views on each issue and dont follow a party line? That most people are a mix - 'right wing' on some issues and 'left' on others. I know its a confusing thought, people applying their judgement to each situation on a case by case basis, but worth trying.

If I was on the jury I wouldn't convict someone of a charge like that, even if they had technically broken the law.

He'd be a twice a year or possibly once a month in a group mate. Great in small doses, well diluted with other sane people around.

Knowing how much of our views of the world is learned and how much is hard wired is really valuable. The holy grail of pharmaceutical companies is to find personality enhancing drugs to make shy people more outgoing, the reckless more considered and the pig ignorant less able to post on SW. I thought you would welcome this as applied research.

Almost nobody disagrees with that principle. Of course there are a hundred shades of opinion about exactly how, when and how much should go to public space, public services and wealth redistribution but the principle is almost universal - except by fruitloops like Dune. You are better than aligning yourself with him JB.
-
So having a concern about the wider world and wealth creation arent mutually exclusive then?
-
Published by Dorling Kindersley. Peter Kindersley is a very successful, wealthy environmentalist. Poor him. Actually you and Johnny could learn something from him. A wealth creator with a social conscience.

You and Delldays are good value. Its like having two of the UCH guinea pigs in your living room. "I don't need documented academic research to prove historical fact" is especially good. A little help. Do you think history is known because 1. Some people are 947 years old and remembered it all? or 2. Historians conducted academic research?
-
How exactly have you shown it Dune? Claiming it three times in a football forum doesn't make it so. Some kind of evidence would be nice - you know, like documented academic research. Exactly what were the views on redistribution of wealth of the Rothschild's and Isambard Kingdom Brunel?
-
So whats your point? You think by trying to make out chasing a mammal on horseback with dogs and tearing it apart is the same as hooking a fish and mostly returning it to the water then you have won the argument?

The Golden Eagle used to be widespread in England but was shot and poisoned to extinction by gamekeepers. A small population is recovering in Scotland.

The idea that people who live in rural areas have been there for generations and are 'country folk' isnt true in many parts of the country. DEFRA did some interesting research a few years ago looking for reasons for the decline of farming and the lack of young people going in to it (the average age of a farmer is now 58 ). They found most tenant farmers and farm workers now live in towns and commute to their place of work because rural property is generally more expensive and 'desirable' and they have been priced out by professionals commuting into the cities to work. In any 'pretty' village within 1 hours commuting time from a city you are more likely to find accountants and surveyors playing at being country folk and keeping a few chickens (and letting the foxes in and feeding them wrongly) than anyone born and raised there. .

Chamberlain to Arsenal or Liverpool £10m
buctootim replied to forever a red and white's topic in The Saints
Who knows how things would have been different if they had stayed? You can argue that they improved quicker by being around top internationals or you can argue feeling they have to justify a £10m transfer fee whilst playing in a prem team's reserves puts too much pressure on a 17 year old and they would be better off playing regularly for Saints first team until they are 20. -
National Tyre Services?

Quite. So we agree they left too young. -

But both Bale and Walcott had a very difficult 2-3 years before breaking through, so arguably, for all reasons apart from money, yes they did leave too soon. -
If he plays that will give Guly a break from the boo boys.

I imagine Adkins would want him back. JPs performances at Millwall are much improved; Holmes is out and Adkins has hinted (i think) in interviews that January transfer targets are hard to come by. Maybe JP has eaten a little humble pie too.

Okay, fair does. Definitely makes more sense that way!
