Watched the stream and though Chelsea were good value for their win, although the scoreline was a bit flattering. We did seem to have a very young team though with quite a number of 17/18 year olds and no ore than one or two over 20. makes a huge difference at this age group. Remember reading somewhere that its part of the plan to push the kids on.

Well it's all about opinions, but I can't see us promoting Isgrove and then blocking his path to the team. From the little I've seen he looks pretty direct and so are both JRod and Punch. I would have said its not an area we are looking at, particularly someone who created so little from that position last season. Direct but clueless would be my current description of him.

My guess is that with Lallana, Gaston, Isgrove, Punch, JRod, we think we have the wide positions covered.

Yes, but you can't expect to have someone as good as Shaw who is just prepared to sit on the bench. Who ever replaces him will be weaker and it's up to the team and coach to accommodate it.

I think most of you are deluded. You want a top quality full back who is happy to play understudy to Shaw. Can't see it happening.

He is, quite clearly, a box to box midfielder. He has a fantastic engine. I don't see him as creative/instinctive type player, but has already shown the ability to burst from midfield into more offensive positions. We are very fortunate.
