  1. That was the point I was trying to make!
  2. Oh yeah. I'm an idiot.
  3. Who was our most expensive player in the starting 11? Yosh maybe?
  4. Absolutely. Who is Arsenals best young player? Lets bid for him.
  5. The irony of his injury is that it came about as a direct result of him doing the things MP wants him to do. He joined in the pressing of the Sunderland player high up the pitch, won the ball and then drove at the heart of the Sunderland defence.
  6. I think we'll see the reverse of Fulham, with JC starting and Big Vic coming on at half time for another 45 mins.
  7. He's developing nicely in the full glare of the strongest domestic club competition in the world. Give him time.

Stats. Pah. I know what I saw.
  9. Bless me Saints Web for I have sinned. On Saturday I went to Krap Nottarf to see my home town team demolish the mighty Blue Hoard. Everything about the place is tinpot; The infrastructure, the faded seats, the poor condition of the pitch, the quiet crowd who were outsung by 741 travelling Torquay fans. The first half was dominated by Torquay (2nd from bottom in L2) and whilst Pompey did press in the 2nd half it was an endearingly league 2 huff and puff effort. The latest motley crew of lower league journeymen they've recruited should see them struggle for another year or two - if they last that long.

A weakness will never become a strength, but it can become less of a weakness. There's no point spending time trying to put in what God left out. Etc etc. The man is a beast and gives us a presence in CM that we have not had for years and years. We are blessed to have both Big Vic and Jack Cork, but against the better teams we will concede fewer goals and have more possession with Big Vic in the team. IMO.
  11. No it doesn't. It just shows we are 9th on shots per game.

I don't think any of us mind speculation. That's why we're here. Its the way you stated the club will be sold in the summer that gets my back up - as though you have some kind of factual basis for your assertion. Speculate away, but don't dress it up a fact. BTW, the club will not be sold in the summer.
  13. Christ there are some wet fannies on here. On Tuesday (yes, only last Tuesday) this supposed weakest squad in the PL massively outplayed the team top of the league for long periods without our spine of Lovren, Big Vic and SRL. Why are we more screwed that say, Everton would be without Lukaku, Barry and Distin? Apply equally to any team. GET A GRIP!!!
  14. What kind of tin pot club do you think we are??
  15. Would you want him back here?
  16. It's a flesh wound. He'll be back for Saturday.
  17. Oh oh, here comes Capt. Hans Geering. René: May I tell you a little legend, Colonel? It is said that these champagne glasses were modeled on the bosom of Marie Antoinette. Capt. Hans Geering: They should have modeled them on Katarina's bosom. We would have got a bigger drink.

    Chico Flores

    I'd swap Jos for him
  19. When is someone going to ban this clown. Pathetic
  20. Some of you lot are acting like spoilt brats. We have no divine right to go to places like this and roll them over. The quality in our play is obvious, and we are only a player or two short. Yes we should have won, but it was a good point gained.
  21. You lot are a disgrace.
  22. Seriously? He scouted them? And none have played a part in our rise. Guly has played a significant part - he might not be starting 11, but successive mangers seem to pick him. I take your point about Forren and Mayuka, but the rest? Boruc Clyne Fonte Lovren Wanyama Cork JRod Lambert Are current counters to your argument, or did Cortese only pick the duds? No to mention others =who did a job but are now departed (or near as dammit): Butterfield Richardson Harding Sharp Barnard Connolly etc etc Cortese does seem an odious little **** from the outside, but you've picked the wrong stick to beat him with.
  23. "I was ready to go but NC asked me to complete the project" "I couldn't leave the team at this time of its development" "If anyone other than XX had come in as CEO I would have gone"
  24. You have to assume there were weeks of prep that went in to making her look this good......
  25. The issue with most football fans is that we still think of the game as the one we played at school, or on the park. Therefore the criticism of Lambert is all about what he did, or didn't do, when he had the ball which yes, by his standards, was below par. However, he kept two very good centre backs occupied and was a significant part of the movement created by our front three which, ultimately, created the space for AL which led to the goal. Hence why I said that people who can't see how important to our game he was yesterday don't understand football. Just my view.
