As a disciple of the Cult of Cortese, I hereby designate this as the year 4AC. I do seem to remember a goodly number of people criticising a cetain lack of ambition in previous Chairmen. We are, indeed, a funny lot.

I certainly wasn't accusing you of being a Cortese hater. I was, however, accusing you of inferring that anyone with a contrary view is part of an imaginary "CoC". That one you can have.

Do you suppose that perhaps some of those tagged "CoC" are simply not willing to see everything in black and white terms. Perhaps the so called "CoC" are just people who can see that there is only one person who has gone public with personal attacks. Perhaps the "CoC" are saying we don't like everything we've seen, but on balance the "Club" are in a much better position now than they were when he took over. Perhaps the "CoC" are entitled to a view which is no less valid than the rabid Cortese haters who base their view of the world from the snippets of tittle tattle and internet gossip forums.

But if NC had sacked him in November, with no replacement lined up we would have been rudderless for two months. Not agreeing with the decision to do it now, just pointing out that NC probably can't win.

There are some things in that article that just don't add up. NC trumped NA by signing Gaston and Yoshida, but gave him free reign on the Goal Keeper, which he felt was a priority?? There were clearly issues and tensions from a long way back, but NA doesnt strike me as the type to just let himslef be dumped on.
