I'm not suggesting its the primary reason, merely that it might be a factor for consideration in the decision making process.

I've been thinking this for a while now. Makes sense to me that we've got to offload a few of our highest fee attracting players in order to improve the depth of the squad overall, and to avoid falling foul of the FFP rules. The Financial Fair Play rules are actually achieving the opposite of what they were intended to achieve. Bonkers.
