Clutching at straws but what are the chances of the club having a hitherto unpublished 'dosier' of other clubs that have done the same thing, which they've been keeping up their sleeve if they felt a nuclear reaction was ever warranted? After all, the club did state in it's original response to the EFL verdict that they were 'offering to help set up a commission to investigate the wider implications' (or words to that effect)... Why would they have said that if they had zero evidence of anyone else doing it, anecdotal or otherwise...?

Echo this. Almost all my circle of friends (yes, I have a few... ) concur about the proportionality of the sanctions (both what the EFL dished out and what the FA might be about to). It's almost as if social media is peppered with a vocal minority of numbnuts...

I reckon they should turn their attention to the disciplinary record of Neil Harris...

I suppose, in theory, both could be true... i.e. he asked them to do it earlier in the week because he wanted to know as in advance as possible, not because he knew it would be against the rules if he requested it later in the week...?

I'm surprised I (and the wider media) didn't pick up in that... If that's the case then it changes everything, surely? Yes, we (the club) ultimately ended up doing wrong regardless, but if Tonda was telling people to do this kinda thing within the regulated timeframes, and they subsequently ignore him, then any punishment specifically aimed at Tonda has to take that into account...

I don't recall seeing any specific timings within Tonda's instructions to the analyst reported anywhere before... Any link to a quote on that?
