You want to know what was said in a meeting between a club's sporting director and representative's of the club's fan base? How very old fashioned... Why on Earth would Sport Republic want such matters to be a matter of public record? That would make them accountable to the fans.... Dream on... P.s. have 'FAB' ever published minutes of these meetings with the ownership / management? If yes, where are they published? If not, what's the point of a group that purports to represent the fan base but seemingly doesn't communicate with them...?

Yep... But it reminds me of an episode of 'Would I Lie To You' where Bob Mortimer tells one of his completely implausible stories which turns out to be true... I don't usually comment on this kinda stuff, as it inevitably ends up in a futile circular debate, but one thing that did leap out at me reading that piece is that he very much focuses on front line staff when he talks about the challenges of getting productivity gains in the public sector. Which made me wonder what the productivity spilt is between back office and front line staff. One would imagine it's easier to make savings in the back office compared to the front line? As I say, just an observation rather than wishing to stir the opinion pot.

Ryanair's / O'Leary's whole marketing schtick is to make light of bad publicity to the point where they almost crave it... Not sure if they'll get away with it on this occasion though.

Surely Rodgers has got to be lowest risk option for Sport Republic? Even if he fails they can always turn around and say to us fans: "well, you wanted a high profile manager rather than one of our usual project / experimental managers and look where it's got us...". If they go for another of their 'clever' options then it's high risk and all on them (yet again)...

Yep, pretty much a 'non brainer' if Rodgers is definitely interested. We need a big personality / strong character as manager and he ticks the box. Dear Mssrs Spors & Solak, Ignore my plea for Viera earlier... Rodgers is your man. Yours etc...
