Hope they're not taking any chances with his fitness by allowing him to play on...
-
Ssshhh.... It's against Saintsweb law to mention Russ, dontcha know....
-
Welington injured....again... #madeofglass

Maybe...
-
Another 0-0 incoming....

Always good to get a muffin this early...
-
I thought Bristol City were a high intensity pressing team...? Sitting back at the moment.... Maybe they know that's the way to play against us...
-
AA should do better there
-
Hasenhüttl there tonight according to Alfie House

It's not going to click if Still plays him on the bench with no intention of bringing him on... Flummoxed as to why he's not been given a few games in the U21s, where he's more likely to 'click' and gain some confidence... It's almost as if this club is being run like a rundown seaside B&B, to coin a phrase...

It's cast iron facts like this that keep drawing me back to Saintsweb time and time again

Manage Southampton on Football Manager 2026
trousers replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
Bugger, just my luck... Washing my hair that evening.... ☹️ -
I've no idea. You're mistaking me for someone who's given it more thought other than to ponder if two posters might each have a point....
-
Maybe you're both right.... Still and Rohl could've been 'joint top' candidates and they simply ended up going for the one that was the simplest / quickest option out of the two....?

What's the Leicester v Pompey result got to do with our manager?
-
Indeed... Oyekunle should have been on the bench... Would have been great experience for him and could've had a 'nothing to lose' 10 minute cameo appearance at the end which wouldn't have done his development any harm. Having a player on the bench with no intention of being him on* is a complete waste of an opportunity for someone else. (* That said, I would imagine the plan was to bring Downs on if we were comfortably in the lead towards the end of the game for a 'no pressure' confidence building stint... Just one flaw with that plan... Saints? Comfortable lead? Yeah, that flaw... )

MLG back with his 'lets see how unlikeable I can come across' routine... Is it half term already...?
-
They got a click out of it though...
-
I wouldn't put anything past these charlatans....
-
Indeed... Why aren't these guys kicking up a fuss that the club pulled the plug on a really important interview? The BBC Solent and Echo headlines should be: "Southampton hierarchy shirk their responsibilities"... But no.... Nothing...
-
Yep, I tweeted Alfie about this earlier.... Inviting him to "spill the beans" on why the club and/or Spors have ducked out of this planned interview.... But, surprise surprise...no response.... We need journos to hold this inept ownership to account, yet all we have is sycophantic reporters such as House and Blackmore who are too 'scared' to hold the owners to account in order to preserve their cosy relationship with the club. The fact that Spors seemingly chickened out of a pre-arranged interview tells us all we need to know about these buffoons.... Meekness... Meekness everywhere.... Owners, Players, Manager, Fans, Journos...

The bottom line is that whilst Sport Republic are at the helm, we're never going to progress, let alone maintain existing levels. There may well be "nothing" we can do as fans to accelerate that eventually but I don't see any harm in the fan base giving them 'feedback' on how woeful they are...
-
I'd start with shutting them in a room for 72 hours whilst blaring Chris de Burgh tracks through loud speakers
-
How these inept owners get away scott free week after week is baffling...
