We loved it. Yep, Mahe. Having our own villa with a private pool might have helped the enjoyment levels to be fair That said, I preferred Mauritius to the Seychelles, but would recommend both.

In the video I watched, he wasn't saying that. He was simply saying that if you have quotas based on factors other than how good you are, you *might* not end up with the very best people in a given role. He never says that unqualified or incapable people could end up in said roles. I've only watched that one video though.

To repeat an earlier post, I watched the video and it's quite clear to me that he's not being racist, quite the opposite in fact.

That's fairly narrow exclusion criteria...

I watched the whole video and it came across as the complete opposite of racism to me, in that he wants pilots, surgeons, etc, to be selected purely on merit rather than the colour of their skin or their sex.

He could always play the "I've selected Al because Gav was away and I want to go with whoever was here to train all week" card, maybe?

How this for an idea... Have a league of 24 teams.... Everyone plays eachother twice... and the best 3 teams get promoted... Bit too radical maybe...?

Our daughter went to a local private school and my son to the local comprehensive. The private school just happened to be my daughter's preference, not because it was a private school per se (I would say both schools were on a par in terms of quality of teaching, so we weren't doing it to gain some kind of advantage). Whilst we had a relatively decent income I wouldn't describe us as "wealthy" or "rich". We certainly had to make compromises to be able to afford it, and we just about managed it. Anecdotally, having got to know the circumstances of most of the parents in her year during the 5 years she was there, I would say under 20% of the parents could be classed as wealthy / rich (I guess that depends on your definition). Obviously that's a relatively small sample, so might be an outlier admittedly, but who's to say that demographic wasn't mirrored at other private schools across the country? But do continue to scoff and sneer at others' points of view if it makes you feel intellectually superior though...
