  1. It all points to some behind the scenes deal being struck between the PDT, PKF and Chainrai IMO. Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if the court case never happens.
  2. A pat on the back to that chap for pointing out the "lies" but like most commentators on the situation he fails to articulate what the alternatives were/are. What percentage of the "£4 trillion" does he think we should claw back from the richest 10% and how does he suggest doing that? (in practical rather than ideological terms) Is he also happy that the welfare budget ballooned by 60% under the previous government and that the unscrupulous work of the nasty Tories will only rebalance things (percentage wise) back to the latter years of the Labour government rather than the % levels that Labour inherited in 1997. As I've said before, I happy to listen to the rants of the anti-Tory brigade, and acknowledge that the Tories are quite often bad at turning sensible ideas into reality, but only if those doing the ranting (a) explain the services and benefits that a Labour government would have cut over the last 3 years (i.e. £8 of cuts for every £9 of Tory cuts) and (b) explain how they would rebalance the gap between the richest and poorest - a gap that just happened to grow at its largest rate between 1997 and 2010...
  3. http://frattonfaithfulblog.wordpress.com/2013/04/03/exclusive-ricardo-rocha-interview/ I haven't used one of these for a while...
  4. Cheers. Is it voted by a panel or some other method does anyone know?
  5. If only Labour could bring themselves to tell us what services and benefits they would have cut instead we'd have a barometer to compare against how 'nasty' the Tory cuts really are... Btw, in the main, the Tories aren't cutting per se, they're predominantly reducing the rate at which state spending was growing. To use a car analogy we've lifted our foot off the accelerator a bit rather than put the car into reverse. P.s. are you sure the Scots are as short-sighted as that? Governments come and go - since the war, the majority party in the general election in Scotland has matched that of the UK as a whole for c.60% of the time. I reckon the Scots will see the bigger picture rather than cut off their noses to spite their face just to give the Tories a kick in the gonads.
  6. Depends what the voting criteria is but it wouldn't surprise me if Pochettino gets it. A club in our precarious position beating Liverpool and Chelsea back to back is, pound for pound, a more impressive achievement than the likes of Man Utd winning 100% of games they were expected to win.
  7. When is the winner announced?
  8. An I right in recalling that Adkins never won manager of the month (in all 3 leagues) whilst at Saints? Not sure if I'm right there but would be a 'strange but true' fact if it is
  9. Yeah...sure... vote in a government that pledged to cut state spending ever so slightly more than the 'socialist' government pledged to cut... The Tory bashing underclass will fall for it hook line and sinker...
  10. Ha! So it is...! Not as awake as I thought I was... Pesky Bank Holidays...
  11. I started using 'Windows Live Mail' as a temporary measure when I got a new laptop a year or so ago and am still using it. Whilst it has its foibles I guess it must be doing a decent enough job for me not to get around to replacing it with something more sophisticated. Foibles.... Long time since I've used that word in semi context. Not bad for this early on a Wednesday morning.
  12. Thanks for bringing a wry smile to a cynic's face this morning
  13. Nope. Neil Armstrong. Sadly never made it...
