  1. You're mistaking me for someone who's thought this through before posting...
  2. How about the option of playing 3 centre backs + two wing backs?
  3. @blueballoo2000: Walsall - 100% empty of home fans currently. Was it something we said?:-) http://t.co/sttwb8Ui
  4. Uh-oh... @tancredipalmeri: Re Southampton-Astori: the player has reached an agreement with the club, that now is working to pay less than the 10m € asked by Cagliari
  5. Twitter awash with 'done deal' posts
  6. Is the word count for "plucky" up into double figures yet?
  7. Southampton FC ‏@officialsaints Aaron Martin has today returned to Saints after it was mutually agreed to end the defender's loan spell at @Official_CPFC. #saintsfc

  9. It's not about the rest aspect per se, it's more of a precautionary measure to ensure your key players aren't injured for the (arguably) more important games. For example, you wouldn't enter your prize marrow in the fruit and vegetable competition at the local village fete a few days before the National Giant Vegetable Championship.... http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/news/uk-gears-up-for-national-giant-vegetables-championship/
  10. Pompey Royal ‏@Pompey_Royal Despite being knocked out Pompey still set to dominate FA Cup weekend TV coverage. Quite right too having graced 40% of last 5 finals.
  11. Daniel Storey ‏@danielstorey85 Harry's like a bluebottle on horse****. Diame, Cahill, Ben Haim, Cole, Dawson, Jenas, Bassong, Livermore, Coates, Henrique. Its only the 4th
  12. Rob Harris ‏@RobHarris Redknapp on Ben Haim, who has signed for QPR until end of season: "He’s not here for the money or anything like that"
  13. That's the important distinction for me too. I'm not for or against resting players for cup games per se. Instead, I look at it on a case-by-case basis.....if there's a cup game within a few days of a league game then I would rest more players than if there's a gap of a week. So, for example, I would put out a stronger team for tomorrow's cup game vs Chelsea than I would do if it went to a replay on Wednesday 16th Jan.... It's not a black and white debate IMO.
  14. Did you swap contact details with the other chap? Given this'll be a case of your word against theirs, having two of you complaining will dent any defence they come up with
  15. @solentsport: #pompey loan striker Paul Benson has turned down permanent move to Bradford we understand, with a view to extending his stay at Fratton Park Hmmm....I wonder why that could be....nothing to do with higher wages of course....
  16. Hitch a ride on my chopper
  17. Or go the night before and stay in a hotel near the airport...
  18. Sainsbury's own brand gel. Not sure why anyone would want to spend more on egotistical brands.
  19. @pn_neil_allen: Feel honoured & blessed having parody account made of me by Southampton fans. Also clearly debunks myth they're obsessed with things #Pompey How many more times do we have to explain this to them? Yes Neil, we ARE obsessed about the whole Pompey farce. That's the whole point...this saga wouldn't be half as amusing if we didn't take it so seriously....keep up... P.S. keep banging on about how obsessed we are...we like a dash of irony on here too...
  20. It's amazing what you can finance with a loan from the British Virgin Islands...
  21. Did buctootim really post this? I ask because the stain didn't post the original. Strange stuff afoot at SaintsWeb towers
  22. @BBCSport: As West Ham sign Sean Maguire from Waterford, the Irish club's chairman says the striker "reminds me of Lionel Messi": http://t.co/dj39cPEI
  23. As a social capitalist I agree with Pap Btw, I clicked on 'Astori' earlier and it took me to a book by a Japanese artist who's famed for his hairy chair art.
