I think Clattenderg booked Clyne on a "straw that broke the camel's back" basis. When he was speaking to him (just before show the yellow card) he pointed over to where Clyne had made an earlier borderline yellow card tackle. I'm fairly sure he wouldn't have shown Clyne a yellow card if that had been his first perceived misdemeanor

Just been reading the match reports in various newspapers. Not one highlights Shaw's performance. The Sun even gives him a mediocre 6/10. Are we bigging up Shaw's performance because we're biased or were the journos half asleep (or distracted by the Clattenburg roadshow more like)? The papers would normally be raving about such an accomplished premier league performance by a 17 year old.

We're unbeaten in 4 games so same starting line up again for me, Gazza included. Given that I don't believe Liverpool will press us when in possession as much as Norwich did last night, I feel more confident of getting at least a draw out of this game than I did about getting a win vs Norwich. Would like to see Mayuka get a piece of the action in second half.
