  2. Tacit confirmation (as if any was needed) from the News that Pompey are fielding a player that (on paper) is too good for League One... "Buzsaky confessed he’s still a way from full fitness and needs time to get to the level needed where he can wreak havoc." http://m.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/buzsaky-that-s-not-good-enough-1-4350022
  3. I assume the agenda item goes something like "Let's talk about Pompey for 5 minutes and defer any decision making until the next meeting in 6 weeks time"
  4. @solentsport: GOAL #Pompey 1-3 Wycombe. Morgan extends the lead again scoring off the rebound of a missed penalty.
  5. Of course, we all know what this means....another post match moan from Appy about how uncompetitive his squad is and how unfair everything is. Bless.
  6. It was both.
  7. Couldn't agree more...
  8. Oops... @solentsport: GOAL #Pompey 0-2 Wycombe. Dean Morgan doubles the lead inside ten minutes.
  9. @solentsport: GOAL #pompey 0-1 Wycombe.Grant stuns Fratton Park with a goal after 13 seconds!
  10. I'd see a doctor about that raw nerve if I were you.
  11. Just when we thought the plot couldn't get any thicker....
  12. Portsmouth In April 2007 Johnson was called upon to resign by the MPs for the city of Portsmouth after claiming in a column for GQ that the city was "one of the most depressed towns in Southern England, a place that is arguably too full of drugs, obesity, underachievement and Labour MPs"
  13. Maybe Boris should go for President of the USA if he doesn't get a chance at PM (he was born in New York so qualifies)
  14. Why haven't we heard from Birch for several weeks? Are the rumours about him being sidelined true?
  15. Reading between the lines at the time, I'm inclined to believe there was more 'intrigue' to the Barclays decision than we saw on the surface. The mysterious migration of a certain Barclays account manager to work for the administrator for example....
  16. Whoa there pardner....I don't see that as "cheating" because Barclays changed the rules half way through the game.... We were servicing our debt quite satisfactorily (e.g. offloading high wage earners due to our financial difficulties....spot the difference...?) until Barclays reduced the overdraft facility by £1m which in turn triggered a c.£4,000 cheque to bounce.... It's a bit like someone raising the high-jump bar an extra foot whilst the competitor is running up and then having a pop at him for failing to clear the height. If anything we didn't "cheat" enough to increase our chances of survival in the Premier League...
  17. When you continue to improve your squad knowing that your club is in dire financial straits whilst not paying taxes, local businesses and charities.

  21. Can't do any worse than a lot of the 'straight men' we've had over the last 50 years....surely?
  22. "The prime minister and I danced Gangnam style the other day," Boris Johnson says, adding that Koreans watch the rapper's video on TVs with "aerials made in London". "Every single chocolate Hob Nob in the world is made in London," the mayor proclaims.
  23. Another splendid speech at the Tory party conference just now. Any man that can get "badger hair shaving brushes" into a political speech is a genius. He actually toned down the buffoon 'act' today. If this man isn't prime mininster sometime over the next 10 years I shall weep into my porridge.
  24. Sky Sports on the same hymn sheet.... http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11700/8151642/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter Whilst I acknowledge it's likely to be guess work, "up to 6 weeks" sounds better than "at least 6 weeks"
