@pn_neil_allen: Anyone know where Kanu is? Appleton would love to know. Currently AWOL. File a missing persons. #Pompey
-
Good question. Looks like a school playing field
-
Has our supposed interest in Upson gone cold? Or was it never warm in the first place?
-
Or you've been unlucky? Never had a problem with them personally. Decent run of the mill machines.

@pn_neil_allen: The #Pompey masses back for pre-season training. http://t.co/uLynnbob

And so the sympathy starts... @TonyHusbandBBC: Off to see how the #pompey squad is looking after another tough summer for club. How many training today will be there in August? Another tough summer for the club? What about the tough summers that the creditors have had FFS?

I can't see Turkish being allowed into my first class carriage somehow.... -
So....this is the week that Appy can start to bring in those 18 players he's had lined up over the last few weeks....you know, the ones who are "desperate to play for Pompey". Sweepstake on how many in before the end of the week? It's gonna be a busy one for the new recruitment manager, that's for sure...

Sounds like a younger version of Puncheon? -
Damn...foiled by the forum intelligenti... ;-) As it happens, my uncle used to play for Pompey in the late 60s/early 70s so I do have an smidgen of historical empathy for our friends down the road. Of course, I'd never be daft enough to mention that on here...can you imagine the mental battering I would get from some of the more intellectually challenged folk...?

I've bought two Acer laptops (one for me and the missus and one for my daughter) in the last year and can't fault them. It's not the trendiest brand in the world but you tend to get 'more bang for your buck' compared to other brands.

FFS guys and gals...you're not taking this thread seriously...we need you to be at your most professionally alert in this most crucial of weeks ahead...

@pn_neil_allen: Back to training for #Pompey players tomorrow and us media been invited to witness it. Expect a few triallists. Going to be interesting.

Maybe we're clever enough to rise above it rather than lower ourselves to the same level. Just a hunch.

Well played Federer...possibly the best tennis player in my life time. Also, I doff my cap to Murray. I've no shame in saying that I welled up during his speech. Some genuine emotion there. I know I'm bucking the 'Scots vs English' stereotype but I'm genuinely warming to the chap.

Thanks again Mr Liebherr. Never forgotten. I'll keep the avatar until we qualify for the champion's league. Or I may keep it for longer than just one more season.... :-) RIP Markus. Always in our thoughts.

Lovely jubbly....another thread we can resurrect in 6 months time when Hammond picks up his 3rd Man of the Match award of the season.... ;-)

I've not really had a strong opinion on the new kit up til now but I took my 12 year old lad down to St. Mary's to buy him the new shirt yesterday and he's chuffed to bits with it. I think it looks great (both on display in the revamped megastore and when worn). At no point did my son say: "this is great dad but I wish it was 'proper' red and white stripes". I guess his cynic gene doesn't start developing for a few years yet.... (at which point I'll obviously get him to join the forum) I'm still in the much frowned upon "it's only a kit FFS" brigade but I'm happy we've gone for something different (from a Saints perspective) this year. It just feels 'right' somehow. (a new beginning in the Premier League and all that philosophical malarkey) Contrast the innocent exuberance of my son to the grumpy old sod in the queue in front of us as he said to the cashier: "hmmpf....not enough white...grumble...not happy..." as he handed over his £42 quid...I'm sure there's a Carlsberg phrase that covers borderline irony.... ;-)

Deluded Pompey fan Mk II....

Hey....I've got an idea my dear Pompey fan....how about your club pays players like Norris (that are 'too good for League One') a wage that the club can't afford in order to retain them for next season? Just go into Admin for a 3rd time when the day comes to pay the bill. Genius.
