The intellect was all about the title though bearsy me ol' furry mucker. You know...snatch as in 'take' and snatch as in 'snatch'. You gotta admit there's humour to be had in a quality over quantity philosophy?
But, you make a fair point, and I respect your status as mod of the Muppet Show, so I will try harders in futures.
Please forgive me. :-(
Yep, I wasn't 'slating' Claridge for what he said per se, rather how he came across as all surprised that administrators are leeches. As you say, that ought to be common and unsurprising knowledge from the offset. It's the typical "moan about it after the event" approach from our friends down the road.
IMHO of course.
@officialsaints: Here's our match report on this afternoon's 3-3 draw between #SaintsFC Under 21s and their Brighton counterparts: http://t.co/myazYEWS
Totally agree. My retraction of my love for Claridge is more to do with the timing of his 'astonishment'. It appears he's only just realised how much administrators charge so not sure why he's acting all surprised about it now. Just jumping on the "who can we point the finger at now?" bandwagon IMO.
Oh well, he's still worth a score-draw given his earlier "getting it" comments. :-)
It wouldn't surprise me if Birch actually slipped THEM a few bob from the parachute payments for that very reason, i.e. to offset against the potential expense elsewhere that you mention.
West Ham having marginally less "luck" with bringing in new players than us then....
Ian Abrahams @BroadcastMoose Spoke to Big Sam about transfer targets and he admitted West Ham had failed with 95% of their targets and he is trying to get 2 or 3 more in
Neil Allen @pn_neil_allen Looking forward to usual #Pompey half-time chat with @ExpressFM at Plymouth. Main topic has to be Portpin. Views definitely will be my own!
