  1. My uncle used to play for Pompey (late 60s / early 70s)
  2. @solentsport: Former #afcb manager Lee Bradbury has joined the #pompey academy coaching staff along with Mark Chamberlain
  3. We will walk this league
  4. We will finish 8th
  5. Btw, Tapatalk allows me to make more than 3 posts a day as a non-member, which is nice... ;-)
  6. And, of course, a 7 figure sum in Pompeyland is, in reality, a 4 figure sum once you've taken into account the dilution effect of 2 CVAs...
  7. Any volunteers to email the organisers to fill them in with the salient details...?
  8. @pn_neil_allen: Appleton confirms Hermann Hreidarsson coming back to #Pompey on trial. More later.
  9. Another point for 'Team Reality' vs 'You Couldn't Make It Up'. Here's hoping the bus pulls up for a photo opportunity outside Fatpipe Park.
  10. Try and beat my record of keeping them on the line for as long as possible. I managed to get one call to last over 30 minutes once.
  11. A few years back I nearly bought Harry Secombe's wardrobe from an antique shop
  12. I had a bad back for most of my late 20s / early 30s. Ended up going to a local private Osteopath. They manipulated the affected area, clicked a few bones and taught me how to exercise and tighten the midrif muscles that affect the back most when lifting stuff etc. Best £100 I spent in my life.
  13. I can confidently say WG's sweeping statement is pretty accurate. That said, procurement in some large scale private corporations is equally cumbersome and inefficient (I'm thinking banks here, but the worst ones my company deals with are part owned by the state....pure coincidence I'm sure...) :-)
  14. Sticking with my prediction of finishing 8th
  15. Greetings from the murky recesses of page 1453. Typical post holiday dilemma time...do I spend 4 hours reading the remaining pages or skip to the end to see who did it...?
  16. Gotta be up at 02:30 so last post until September for yours truly. Can someone take notes in my absence? Just one side of A4 when i get back please. Thanks in advance. Salute!
  17. This. People think its for the act of exiting ADMIN2 itself but that just happens to be the moment in time that the football league declare that CVA1 hasn't been honoured.
  18. So, unlike us, the League seemingly haven't told Birch that the -10 is non-negotiable. Unless of course that's just some interim bravado from Birch to keep the fans 'on side'?
  19. People that just like watching top flight football you mean? Whatever next? People that sit glued to the 100m Olympics final who haven't set foot in an athletics stadium for 25 years? ;-) I have no problem with human beings picking and choosing what form of entertainment they choose to watch and when.
  20. @pn_neil_allen: RT @hartleehair: @pn_neil_allen this better than Christmas !!!!
  21. @officialpompey: #Pompey response to Football League statement: http://t.co/Qff979Vk
  22. @pn_neil_allen: McLeod tick. Walker tick. Compton tick. Howard tick. Dumbuya tick. Eastwood tick. Djilali tick. Harley tick. Williamson tick. #Pompey Creditors? Big fat cross...
  23. Here's an obscure train of thought....if Birch/PKF stopped charging for their administration costs and instead ran Pompey as defacto owners, could they effectively run the club 'in administration' until the end of time? Hypothetically?
  24. If they did that then the -10 (minimum with CVA) would kick in next season instead....Pompey are the masters of deferrals afterall...
  25. 'We' did, because we like to keep abreast of such details, but the rest of the footballing world tend to gloss over the facts when it comes to Pompey so they have to be reminded every now and then...
