  1. @solentsport: #Pompey fans booing Ben Haim, singing a song along the lines of "you're greedy, get out of our club", but with different words .... Tune in next week after he's departed whereby he'll have hero status....
  2. So, the people who got shafted for c.£130m don't get to pick who they think is most likely to pay back the measly 2p of 20p in the £1? No surprises there then... I suppose it doesn't matter who takes over especially when the figures they'll get back, if at all, are next to nothing anyway.
  3. @bigadamsport: RT @solentsport: #Pompey team bus has just arrived at Aldershot. Liam Lawrence was on it & set to play, Dave Kitson & Tal Ben Haim also both here
  4. Of course the organisers will say that to avoid opening the floodgates, but it's not the organisers that uphold the law of the land. I was referring to UK consumer law which states you are entitled to a refund for any goods or services that were either 'not as advertised' or 'not of merchantable quality'. Anyone contesting the all too obvious 'no refunds' stance taken by the retailer ought to win their case if the law of the land is adhered to. The organisers are relying on people not being clued up as far as UK consumer law is concerned, which is a fairly save bet knowing this country's population...
  5. If one was forced to make an arbitrary judgement on the 'best ever Olympian' I would look at the intensity of training required for each Olympics and divide that by the number of medals won at each games then multiply that by the number of Olympics they've taken part in. I suspect Steve Redgrave would come top of that particular pile.
  6. It's ok. They are covered by UK consumer law and as such they are legally entitled to a refund.
  7. People that want to sit on something more comfortable than a square foot of hard plastic for 2 hours? Just a hunch so please don't quote me on this.
  8. Assuming it matches Chainrai's bid, don't the creditors get to express a preference on which bid they trust the most to fulfil its obligation? Having two matching 'offers' to creditors is one thing...the desire and/or capability of honouring said offer is another thing..,(as previous Pompey creditors know full well...)
  9. I'd go with that
  10. Storrie? Redknapp? Uncle Tom Cobbley?
  11. Is there enough time for the creditors to vote on the Trust's CVA proposal ahead of the 10th Aug deadline?
  12. @pn_neil_allen: The Trust have called press conference tomorrow to reveal their full bid details and prospective #Pompey chairman. Interesting development. Birch for Chairman.....? Perhaps....?

  24. Hark...the sound of stable doors slamming shut down Pompey way... http://m.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/halford-wants-ownership-rule-changes-1-4113818 "Halford, who made 77 appearances and scored 12 goals during his time at Fratton Park, remains angry over how the club have come full circle in two years. And he wants the fit and proper persons’ test tightened to avoid more clubs running into such grave financial problems. He said: ‘I think the Football League and the Premier League need to maybe have a look at their test. It needs to be done properly to avoid teams like Pompey being put into jeopardy. ‘You look back and they have given the go-ahead to some owners that pretty much have turned out to be ghosts. ‘You would like to think everyone can learn from these mistakes and it never happens again – but it always seems to. ‘The ownership system needs to be looked at. These people have to be put under the microscope more." Greg! No, no and thrice no! What needs to be tightened up is Pompey's OWN due diligence process. Would you buy a second hand car based purely on an MoT certificate? No, of course you wouldn't you daft buffoon. You'd do some research on its history yourself or get an independent 3rd party to do it for you. FFS....when will these clowns get it?
