Exactly the same logic I've been trying to articulate for weeks. It's a simple mathematical equation. If.... CSI = PFC + NOS and in November 2011.... CSI = Insolvent and PFC = solvent Then, once CSI is relinquished of NOS the equation becomes: CSI = Pompey Thus, either CSI becomes as solvent as Pompey OR Pompey becomes as insolvent as CSI. I.e. They can't remain mutually exclusive the moment CSI relinquish NOS. MLG = nail on head

It's a damn good job we're not a bunch of deranged conspiracy theorists on here otherwise some bright spark would have already come up with the wacky notion that the best way for a local newspaper to get an inside scoop on Pompey finances would be to engage a 'Trojan-horse' investor to have a look at the books and report back to the paper. As I say, bloomin' good job none of us are daft enough to think such a thing...

@pn_neil_allen: Favourite Cala moment #2. Repeatedly calling #Pompey 'Pompeii' every time he spoke to @pn_Rory_McKeown on the phone.Know what you're buying!

@pn_neil_allen: Favourite Cala moment #1. Emailing a photo of himself to The News because he didn't like the ones we were using! #Pompey

Indeed. IMO we haven't seen the last of this yet...we're only in text book negotiation phase 2 at the moment... Phase 1 - go in low; repeat 2 or 3 times Phase 2 - say it's all over - go quiet Phase 3 - go in with higher last minute offer Still 10 days to go until phase 3...

True. Maybe they were just being kind and only asked for £4m. Or maybe I should stop trying to come up with conspiracy theories. I'm sure the Barclays chap going to work for the administrator was a mere quirk of fate...
-
Hmmm....£4m....coincidently around the same amount as the Barclays overdraft....

One question if I may..... What percentage of Chainrai's wealth has he got tied up in PFC? I'm assuming quite a high percentage given he's clung on for so long rather than cut his losses. (I think I know the answer - parachute payments? - but feel the need to metaphorically pinch myself every now and then to remind myself why this circus goes on and on and on and on....)

Come on folks....someone on here must have a debt they can call in that will push them over the administration precipice....they don't still owe SFC any ticket revenue do they...?
-
I noticed last week that his reports were going in the 'wrong' section....just thought it might be a quirk of their website....

Just found this from a couple of days ago. Apologies if already posted elsewhere: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/football-league-blog/2012/jan/18/championship-players-premier-league The Championship players destined for the Premier League As Norwich and Swansea shine with players making the step up from the Football League, here are six more who could do likewise Southampton's Adam Lallana may soon be celebrating in the Premier League. Photograph: John Marsh/Action Images With Norwich's bid for Leeds skipper Jonny Howson and the success of players like Leon Britton and Danny Graham at Swansea, some Premier League clubs are showing that they do not always have to spend big to ensure a coup in the transfer window. Here are just half a dozen prospects from the Championship that could soon be making the step up. Adam Lallana, 23, Southampton The attacking midfielder with excellent control, equally comfortable out wide or in the hole behind the central striker, he has scored 28 goals in the past two and a half seasons and his intelligent passing and movement have made him the fulcrum of Saints' promotion charge.

"Next week sees HMRC take on Glasgow giants Rangers in court over previously used employee benefits trusts (EBT) to pay players. In what is seen as a test case, HMRC are aggressively chasing £35m from the club. If they lose the three-day case, Rangers face a potentially crippling bill of £49m (including penalties), while the taxman would effectively be given a green light to chase other clubs who have used the tax avoidance scheme." They forgot to add....."But on past experience (Porstmouth Football Club) HMRC will clutch defeat from the jaws of victory thus leaving the club to get away with it"
