  1. Final whistle please!
  2. Hmmm....I'm sure it'll be fine.... :-)
  3. No. I quite like Guly.
  4. Palace go close
  5. Glad that Nigel hasn't changed things around yet.
  6. He didn't look fit on Saturday. Observation rather than opinion. Looks can be deceptive I suppose.
  7. Just over from lambert
  8. Chaplow seems to be making a difference?
  9. Palace players starting to lose their heads a tad
  10. Cork down. Bit of a flair up. Handbags
  11. Still too early to shut up shop
  12. Yesssssss!!!!!
  13. Come on Saints. Let's put this to bed
  14. I didn't mean "resting for Reading" as in not playing key players against Reading, I meant resting as it subbing them as early as he can get away with in today's game do that they are as fresh as possible for Reading. But, yep, I'm sure Nige wil know when the timing is right to shut up shop today...
  15. I just hope Adkins doesn't try and shut up shop too soon in the 2nd half. Is probably tempting given he'll want to rest players for Reading if possible,
  16. Yessssss!!!!!
  17. Come on Saints. Score a goal to calm my nerves FFS!
  18. Sorry. I was going for one of my highly amusing 'moaners moaning at the moaners' retort. Doesn't always come off as planned... ;-)
  19. I know the answer to this suggestion already (i.e. too risky to throw him in at this stage of the season) but I'll pose it anyway... Ward-Prowse anyone? "He who dares Rodney, he who dares..."
  20. I was thinking exactly the same in the cold light of day this morning. At 1-1 I had convinced my self they were going to snatch a late winner and was praying that we could keep it level. So, in that context, a draw is exactly what I was hoping for with 10 minutes to go. (or, rather, I was more hoping that we didn't concede than hoping we scored....if that makes any sense) Puts the eventual score into perspective (ish)
  21. There were plenty of times in the game where Adam could have gone down in order to make more of the situation....when he was slapped in the face and elbowed in the ribs are two that spring to mind....but he didn't. I think his 'dive' was born out of sheer frustration on several fronts.....not getting anything for the aforementioned Pompey misdemeanours, the fact that he had run himself into the ground for the cause, the fact that he had come mighty close with some fine efforts on goal, the fact he was probably thinking he should have gone down upon the initial contact. I think his 'dive' was just a culmination of events and that he was simple desperate to see his beloved Saints win the game and what it meant to the fans. I'll take Adam's total passion for Saints,if that comes with the odd 'dive' every now and then, any day of the week.
  22. If the yellow was for kicking the ball in the crowd then perhaps the slap was completely missed by both the ref and lino? In which case, can't the footage be used to retrospectively punish the slap?
  23. Indeed. Any most would have take a playoff spot too. Which is now guaranteed. The simple fact is that Saints final league position, whatever that may end up being, has exceeded the pre-season expectations of the majority of fans.
