  2. According to the London Gazette website, he's got several other admin and liquidation cases on his books. And there was me (and 14,000 others) assuming he was giving 100% of his attention to the perpetually solvent Portsmouth Football Club...
  3. @pn_neil_allen: Well I never! In total Harry Redknapp was #Pompey manager for 5 years and 5 months and signed 88 players. That's around 17 players a year!! Hmmm, I wonder why that was....
  4. @RadhijaidiOff: @jackcork1 Ha ha can't Stop laughing, CRAZY...
  5. @RadhijaidiOff: WOW though Tadanari is going to sing !!!! He just performed Some of Bruce Lee moves...Crazy LOVE IT )))))))))))))
  6. Jurassic Park (said in the style of Alan Partridge)
  7. @pn_neil_allen: Appleton hits the nail right on the head. Fair to say hasn't taken him long to get #Pompey and the fans. http://t.co/UHCoHIKY
  8. To be honest, some of my recent posts haven't been up to my usual high quality standard, so happy for those to go... :-) It would also act as a fitting tribute to Pompey's creative accounting (allegedly)
  9. With all due respect, what's your private life got to do with thIs thread?
  10. @RadhijaidiOff: In the hotel with no wireless Internet and no Steve around ))))
  11. No, but I do advise George Osbourne on running the country's finances....
  12. Ah. You've got a valid point there sir. Old age has obviously crept up on me during the course of this saga....
  13. Given there are 50 posts per page, how come we didn't hit 1,000 pages and 50,000 posts at the same time....? I demand a recount. FFS
  14. Hello there. Any further updates from the kit man's son on the tax settlement? Only HMRC don't appear to have withdrawn their winding up petition yet. Cheers.
  15. James Pearce @Pearcesport That's it for today at Redknapp/Mandaric trial. Prosecution case is closed apart from a few documents. Jury will be back 2pm Monday Before jury sent home they were told about civil tax inquiry into Redknapp after newspaper reports on his bonus from Rio Ferdnand transfer Jury was told that in January 2004 an inquiry launched into Redknapp's 2001-2 tax return. Inquiry ended in September 2006
  16. James Pearce @Pearcesport Back to today's evidence. Redknapp told police "20 or 30 thousand pounds doesn't change my life. I'm not the cleverest but I'm not stupid" Redknapp told police "I paid a million quid in tax last year" Police to Redknapp: "It's not a gift is it though?" R: "I don't know, what is it then?" Police: "That's why I'm asking the question" The Court was told that Redknapp is a "man of hitherto good character" At start of Oct 2009 police interview Redknapp's lawyer pointed out he'd been bailed ten times and said was "hard for somebody high profile" As we near end of first week of Redknapp/Mandaric trial, judge has told jury that trial might "trickle" into a third week

  18. Cheers sir....that's really great feedback. Thanks for being brave enough to put your head above the SWF parapet! To me it confirms that he/they would rather get to the Premier League via organic growth from within than simply throw cash willy-nilly for short term gain. Of course, this approach requires patience from the fan base but, as we know, that's often a rare commodity.
  19. Mum's the word.... ;-) What does he think of the "online community" in general?
  20. I knew it all along...Alpine Saint is really Cortese on a wind up. But, seriously (briefly).....he logs on here then I take it...?

  22. Agree, although the bit in bold is what I was tenuously alluding to. From what I can make out, via a cursory glance at the share trades over the last decade or so (on the SEC website), Cala Corporation doesn't seems like the kind of company that attracts random punts from Joe Public. Just reading between the lines.
  23. I must have missed the post about Cala Corporation shareholders allegedly having a criminal past in that case :-)
