There's a good chance Poland will qualify for the World Cup finals next year and Saga will obviously want to maximise his chances of making the squad. Staying at SFC does not maximise his chances. So, if he is 'forced' to stay, his mind will be elsewhere, and for that reason he should go. Shame, one of my favourite players season before last.

Overall, I agree with the 'pragmatic' approach....but would still be nice to have just one 'major' headline grabbing signing to whet our appetite. It would be a tad dull if everything was done at a 'sensible' level.

A relatively small observation but nice to see him using the word 'we' even when talking about past events (e.g. "we had a bad season last year"). Subtle but reassuring.

Nice one. Yet more concrete evidence that pardew is making his player decisions based on this forum. IMHO of course.

Pardew will be keeping the players that come top of these popularity polls.
