  1. Priceless
  2. Three goalkeepers in that list...
  3. I tend to agree. People are quick to write off friendlies when we lose them in the same way that politicians write off bad by-election results or poor standing in a poll. The words head and sand spring to mind
  4. Why are so many people going to the south of France?
  5. What sort of Christ things? He turned fish into loaves pretty much overnight as I recall
  6. Neither.... Here: http://www.yachtspotter.com
  7. Since when has a SWF post needed such qualification as "no firm source"? Taken as read, surely?!
  8. Lourdes for me

We don't have to survive on sell on fees any more. Oh happy days
  10. Actually, on reflection, only partially happy as you've only changed the opening post title and not the thread title itself. 5 out of 10 for effort though.
  11. CHEERS! Happy Trousers indeed
  12. Would have been better to include the name of the player in the thread title. IMHO of course
  13. Hmmm....Here's hoping he politely ignores these calls and goes for the players that their current clubs don't want them to leave. There's a very good reason why agents have a glut of average players on their books.
  14. Perhaps they've been 'advised' to sell crap/weak beer with an equally crap queuing system to clamp down on drunkeness? Wouldn't surprise me in this nanny state within which we live.
  15. Murty had loads of 'awareness' on Saturday. No coincidence that Pardew was his boss once upon a time one would venture
  16. Ultimately....Gordon Brown
  17. As in: "Fan Forum Sponsorship"....? yep, that would work... let's get someone working on the offiCial logo design...
  18. Have we arranged for first refusal on Pardew's first signing?
  19. First half, I thought Murty was one of our best players (ok, all relative I know!)....he was actually talking to and marshalling the players around him....and had a great awareness and reading of the game (I was sitting in the second row near the player's tunnel so could see his game at close quarters.) A classic example of him reading what was going to happen next was just before one of Ajax's goals. Murty had overlapped down the right wing but the killer pass wasn't forthcoming (surprise, surprise!)....so he turned around, looked back at the next passage of play and screamed at Lallana to track back to intercept their left winger as he sensed that was where Ajax would counter attack. Lallana was slow to react to Murty's instructions and as a result didn't get back in time to make a tackle. If he'd read the game as intelligently as Murty was reading it then he'd have had a chance of preventing the goal. Ok, yes, fitness is an issue at the moment but once fit I can see Murty being a great asset to a League 1 team.
  20. Looks more like Tommac to me....
  21. Markus had a broad smile on his face whenever I looked up towards the director's box - he looked genuinely proud and chuffed with his purchase. Looks to be a really humble chap. He wrapped a saints scarf around his neck at the end and waved to the fans as if to say "this feels right". I caught one of the "Welcome Markus" t-shirts that the players wore when coming onto the pitch and then threw into the crowd....a tad chuffed about that! All in all, an encouraging performance by Saints....held their own in the first half but a combination of fitness, experience and Ajax raising their game in the second half was our undoing. I would definately trade in Rasiak and Saga for a hungrier 'League 1 type' goalscorer. Both players still seem to be wearing their "I ought to be in a higher league' badge - I'd rather have one or two hungrier League 1 or League 2 strikers who are more likely to be prolific in this league.
  22. I don't recognise him....any clues?
