  1. Interesting spot....no doubt just a coincidence....
  2. Their chairman stated on their OS a week or so ago that we defaulted on a "six-figure" payment for McGoldrick last month. Latest NC fan gossip: http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=402&fid=17&sty=2&act=1&mid=2126393829
  3. What time is the Football League meeting tomorrow?
  4. I was led to believe that the 'Football Club' wasn't (currently) affected by the collapse of the PLC, so not sure why it wouldn't be 'business as usual' for the football club. Isn't this what the Football League will expect to see if they are to be convinced that the PLC and Football Club are indeed separate when it comes to Administration? Who wrote the chairman's programme notes this week?
  5. What did Ken have to say in his programme notes?
  6. Sorry, I don't have any details. Just an obscure hunch as I could never work out why we played a hush-hush game against a Hungarian side who (if memory serves me correctly) were owned/part-owned by some (supposedly) rich Hungarians. There was also speculation at the time that the game was arranged at SMS at very short notice to show a potential investor around the ground. Of course, one of the flaws in this hunch is that Ujpest were also forging a working relationship with Wolves at the time but not sure how far down that road they went (I'd of course be able to shed more light on that if I had a scanner up in the loft) So, just pure speculation on my part (just for once!)
  7. Ujpest?
  8. http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard-business/article-23670913-details/Southampton+FC+fury+over+Barclays+%27death+sentence%27/article.do The attack by Rupert Lowe, a high-profile name in the City and chairman of stockbroker WH Ireland, is understood to have led Barclays to consider taking steps to protect staff and branches in the South Coast city this weekend.
  9. Can I blow my own trumpet?

  11. Cheers! Look forward to his programme notes (assuming he writes them himself of course.... )
  12. What if the administrators go bust whilst administrating someone else?
  13. What are you wearing on your legs today?
  14. Administrators OUT!

  16. I have been wondering what scenario is financially more rewarding for an administrator. i.e. do they get more money out of a long drawn out affair or from a swift conclusion? As I understand it, Administrators are profit making organisations like any other company so I've neverquite understood how they rationalise their performance with their shareholders vs the companies they are trying to save and/or wind-down. Would be interested to know what scenario typically makes them most money. p.s. was it Barclays who chose which Administrators to use or is that decided by some sort of LSE panel?
  17. The administrators were quite clear in the press conference yesterday that there were only two people remaining on the FOOTBALL CLUB board....namely David Jones and this other chap.
  18. Either the Football Club is a separate operation to the PLC, and thus running under clearly separate, visible and unambiguous boardroom personnel, or it's not....? Won't the Football League be asking questions of this vein when they convene to decide our fate next Tuesday? A lack of clarity in who is heading up the Football Club board won't do our points saving case any favours, will it?
  19. Sorry if this has been definitively stated elsewhere but couldn't find it. At the press conference yesterday, the Administrator (Fry) said that there was someone else in addition to David Jones on the Football Board. "Kevin" someone? (the surname wasn't clear) Can anyone definitively confirm who this chap is? Call me old fashioned but I'd quite like to know who's in charge of the club (not the SLH plc) on Saturday as we have quite an important game that he'll be presiding over. (and, yes, I know it'll have no bearing on the team's approach - just interested, that's all) Thanks!

  21. The news comes as the Daily Echo reveals how some of the biggest names in music have been turned away from performing at the stadium this summer. Acts including Take That, Rod Stewart and The Eagles, were in talks to stage concerts at St Mary’s but none of the events will take place because it is not certain the stadium will still be in business. Chicken vs egg?
  22. Would the Administrators be handling the SLH situation in the same manner if SLH didn't happen to own a football club?
  23. "Flash....ah...ahhhh" (sorry, couldn't resist)
  24. That's me ruled out then....
