Would now be the time to drag out one of my stock phrases....? Ok, here goes... "Database crash, my arse" -
There's a Mr McLaughlin running one of the touchlines tonight at Watford....nah, can't be....

Arguably, anyone with a connection to a Football League club could be classed an 'interested party', couldn't they? A big 'IF'....but if we stumble across an investor with a decent amount of money in the next couple of weeks, name a club in the CCC who wouldn't rather see us get relegated or a club in League 1 who wouldn't want to see us stay up. Bit of a grey area IMO. -

One thing's for sure....it'll make a farcical last day of the season if they still haven't decided by then and we get a result against Forest that keeps us up. What on Earth do we do at full time in those circumstances? We couldn't celebrate with any degree of confidence, that's for sure. -

Sensible but slow, IMO. Typical quango approach...take nearly a week to convene a meeting (conference call anyone?).....then kick off an "urgent" inquiry... Your sub-par rocket scientist could have worked out that the financial circumstances would need 'further investigation' last week and they could have the "urgent" report in their hands by now. -

When did Gordon "Bottler" Brown takeover the running of the Football League? Must have missed that announcement. -

And it probably doesn't help our case that the OS have removed the links to the corporate information sections..... -
An all too obvious outcome. Still, the winnings will come in handy.

Ok, that's two. I'm still counting the fingers on one hand though.... Perhaps it would be more accurate for the 'accusers' to open their posts with "I hope the 0.02% of the Saints Web Forum who wanted us to go into Administration....." rather than implying it was more than just a couple of wind up merchants?

....and he seems to be chums with a certain bank beginning with 'B'..... The press consensus was that “Ratcliffe of Runcorn should be sent packing”, but he managed to extract £50m. Governments are not the only agencies prepared to back Ineos, says the Daily Mail. “It seems to have had no difficulty persuading Barclays Capital, Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley to underwrite its £5bn cash offer [for BP].” Hmmm.....

This is where I read about them being in competition with each other. Perhaps they've since joined forces? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1167770/Former-managers-Souness-Merrington-battle-control-Southampton.html Former managers Souness and Merrington battle to take control of Southampton Graeme Souness is ready to step in and save his old club Southampton from going out of business in a £15million deal. Souness is part of a consortium bidding to take control after the Championship strugglers' parent company, Southampton Leisure Holdings, went into administration last week. Saints have debts of nearly £30m but despite this Souness will face competition from another former Southampton manager, Dave Merrington, who is part of a rival consortium.

I thought they were in separate consortia?

Not rich enough. He's only No.25 in the list of wealthiest Britons

I'm still to see a list of those posters who "wished for" Administration. There were some who saw it as inevitable and some who were open minded to it happening but I can't remember anyone wishing it would happen out of pure choice. Once again, a few quotes might not go a miss if people are going to toss in such accusations willy nilly. p.s. good to see "toss" and "willy" passing through the word censor, especially in the same sentence.

I believe he was coming from an osteological rather than dermatological perspective. HTH

Unlike Mr Wotte.... MARK Wotte insists Saints’ 3-2 St Mary’s defeat to bottom club Charlton is “not a knockout blow, it’s just a setback.” http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/sai...w__says_Wotte/

Turn up at SO14 5FP at 3pm every other Saturday? ;)
