Same 11? (or 12 if counting Spiderman and Surman as one) A few tweaks? Wholesale changes? Bit of a dilemma if you ask me (which you didn't)

This one: Lowe point for Southampton Southampton's beleaguered chairman Rupert Lowe, who regained a club left in financial meltdown by the chronic mismanagement of the regime that forced him out of office, will have to make a major decision by the third week of March. That is whether to put the club into administration and take the Football League’s 10-point penalty this season. Southampton, whose bank Barclays are threatening to reduce their overdraft facility considerably, have to find extra monies by the end of next month to keep afloat.

Sods Law? (that's quite funny, even if I say so myself )

Was just about to post the same. To be content with a draw at home against an average, depleted, lower half of the CCC table team just about sums up where we've come to.

Before or after our recent two home wins?

How do you know he was first....?

Was it me or did we have 7 players 'up front' when we kicked off in the second half....I thought I was watching a rugby kick off for a minute

It's won't be "fair" to compare Wotte and Pearson purely on match statistics at the end of the season as Wotte had the 'advantage' of being within the club for 9 months whereas Pearson came in cold.

Went to the game last night....and, woe is me, what a difference in terms of passion and 'esprit de corps' from the Cardiff game. It's a long time since I've been to 'back-to-back' games and the difference was scary. That said, I think Derby came with a plan to snuff us out and succeeded. They commanded midfield (thanks to one Mr Savage). Our centre backs were our best players along with Gillett. Frustrating to say the least.

Hasn't spending gone up in some parts of the business though...i.e. playing Saga and Skacel week in, week out?

(i.e. by end of February)

Same team or time to inject a few fresh legs? http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=11467 Saints' Dutch coach refused to use 'tiredness' as an excuse for his team's first defeat in four matches. Southampton came off second best against promotion chasing Birmingham City at St. Andrew's, but according to Wotte, the recent glut of fixtures was not behind Saints' 1-0 defeat. "It was obviously a third game in a week for Birmingham too," he said, "so it's an easy excuse but I won't use it. "Maybe, you never know, not a lot of players are used to playing this kind of rhythm to play Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday, Tuesday, with so much pressure. "We gave three matches everything, 100 per cent, and I think you need to keep it as simple as possible. We will have to make a quick switch to two home games and we have to be as good as the matches against Cardiff and Preston North End to beat both Derby and QPR and it's a big challenge for us." Wotte will also be expecting improved performances from many of the players who he felt weren't up to their recent high standards against Birmingham. "I thought Chris Perry and Kelvin Davis played an excellent game yesterday, but the rest could play better. "Our strikers didn't show as much quality as they have over the last couple of weeks. Marek and Jason and Matt Paterson, they were trying, but I think the two central defenders of Birmingham City played an excellent game as well and I give credit to them. "David McGoldrick had a very poor game I thought and I took him off at half time. Matt Paterson came on and he will always give you a lot of passion and he's trying. "They had to rotate with Jason Euell in the hole, because Jason's strong as well up front. But I felt that we couldn't win anything in the air, so then you have to change your play and you have to play more on the floor. "A 1-0 defeat at Birmingham City is not disgraceful, but it's frustrating that we didn't compete with them to get a point at least."
