  1. Damn....you've just given away my bad habit! I do it whilst sitting at my seat in football grounds though....similar concept though I guess
  2. My unsocialble habit is much more like-for-like....just let me know where you sit and you can judge for yourself....
  3. Fret ye not....I hear on the wire that some geezer has invented a new gizmo that conditions air. I believe they are going to call it 'Air Conditioning'. Genius. It'll even filter out cigarette smoke if they ever repeal the ban....
  4. Where do you sit in SMS? It sounds like I have a volunteer to experience my own unsocialble habit! I'd recommend bringing a gagool to the next game...
  5. Ah, ye olde "two (or more) wrongs making a right" philospohy....
  6. Indeed. Perhaps there should be some sort of 'give and take' compromise here. In other words, I'd be happy to allow smokers to indulge in their unsocialble habit if I can be allowed to indulge in my equally unsociable habit in return? (probably best not to divulge the details of said habit here given the proximity to lunchtime....) Not sure about the "fairness" side of things but I would suggest that such practices are illegal? Whereabouts do the corporates smoke? Inside the ground?
  7. Of course. But not sure what that's got to do with the accuracy of the reporting of player contract dates?
  8. Indeed. Coupled with the fact that SLH shares have actually held quite steady over the last few months whilst the rest of the financial world crumbled. So, apart from that not a bad comparison...
  9. Rupert's white tie catches the light from his face
  10. Wilde: "You see those internet geeks sitting there? Make sure you keep your ears covered so they can't work out which branch of David Dein's family you are from"
  11. Woman back to Wilde: "So when will these kids be old enough to understand that concept?" (sorry...cheap shot)
  12. Wilde: Look, these shares are worth next to nothing. Can you Help me Rhonda?
  13. Reading the above rams it home that Lowe has control over a football club with such a paultry sum of bottom-line cash. Just over £300k? How can a single man have so much power and grip on a club with such a small stake?
  14. Is it me or are 80% of Echo articles a direct cut-and-paste of what's posted on here the day before?!
  15. Wilde: You see this letter I'm holding? Hand it to Rupert and he'll read it out at the AGM. Don't worry, it'll be anonymous
  16. Do what I did and take up masturbation instead. That's not illegal as long as you confine yourself to one of the traps in the toilet and it has the added bonus of being quicker than a fag (so to speak)
  17. Interesting that the article isn't attributed to a specific reporter as is usually the case.
  18. Saga to play against Man Utd? Hmmm....Here's hoping Saga isn't on the Nathan Dyer "3 days off" training plan then....
  19. Does anyone know if Mr Lowe has ever put a timescale on his 'recovery plan' achieving its aim (the 'aim' being, one assumes, to get us back into the Premiership ultimately...) ? If it's, say, a 5 year plan then "where we are now" is a recoverable position in a 5 year timeframe....you could even cover relegation and two promotions in that timescale. However, if Lowe's "project" was based on a 3 year (or less) plan then our current position is indeed a risk to the project succeeding...
  20. No need to have a pop at our entire remaining strike force in a thread about Stern John
  21. Here's hoping them there eggs don't break...
  22. Depends what one compares the 100,000 against. 100,000 Vs total issued shares = peanuts 100,000 Vs the last time a round 6 figure trade went through = potentially significant. A six figure single trade of SLH shares is a pretty rare occurrence....that's all.
