The 'trouble' with internet message boards is that 'rogue' posters and 'genuine' posters often come across in the same way. So it's a 'no win' for anyone who wants to be 100% sure they're dealing with a 'genuine' poster over a 'rogue' poster. I've lost count of the number of times on here over the last 18 months that we've had people saying to lay off supposed 'genuine' posters only for it to transpire they were in fact 'rogue' posters. So, from past experience, there's as much justification to suspect that this thread is 'genuine' as there is to suspect it might be 'rogue'. That's all.

It would appear to be a shame that part of Fulthorpe's funding comes from the States...

I can understand why two other people would take someone's tip on a horse race, and back the same horse as the tipster, as there is always the chance said tipster knows something about the horse that others don't. Horse racing after all is more about individual horse performance. However, someone saying that Saints will win and Surman will score first can only be a random thought off the top of their head given it's a team game. So, why would three people suddenly bet on the same outcome as someone they've just met when it's 100% luck (as opposed to 90% luck (or whatever) in horse racing)? Fulthorpe: "Look, I'm putting a tenner on Saints to win and Surman to score first" 3 mates who have just met Fulthorpe: "Wow, did you hear what that guy just said, let's all put our tenners on the same outcome" Hmmmm....

No need to be staggered when there are "2+2=5" idiots like me on here

I believe MLT is currently registered as a Saints player (a formaility required for the Lundekvam testimonial, or so people said on here at the time....?) As such, I would have MLT on the subs bench every game and brought on every time we have a penalty, or for the last 10 minutes of every game, whichever comes sooner. (The slight flaw in this master plan being that he would have to be re-substituted again if said penalty came too early in the game for him to last the rest of the match - but apart from that it's a masterstroke of an idea....IMHO of course.) It could be the difference between relagtion and survival at the end of the season. Or I could be talking bullocks, for once....
