Indeed; I think we'd probably all agree that it's highly unlikely that we'll go through the remainder of the season without having one or two more defeats, and away to Norwich is the sort of game one could see us potentially tripping up over... That said, I reckon this'll be another relatively high scoring draw; so 2-2 for me.

Without wishing to get embroiled in this 'debate', I guess the only thing you could conceivably pull Martin up on is his phrase: "I have no interest [in chatting] because I’m a football manager" He has mixed politics and football before in interviews / articles (e.g. https://www.carolinelucas.com/latest/professional-footballer-russell-martin-calls-on-clubs-to-protect-the-environment-after ) so the phrase would have been a tad less open to accusations of ingenuity if he had said: "I have no interest [in chatting] because I disagree with his politics" (he did go on to allude to that anyway, but not wanting to chat to a politician "because I'm a football manager" doesn't really scan because it hasn't stopped him before; and why would one's profession preclude you from talking to a politician anyway? No-one who wasn't a politician would ever speak to a politician if we all adhered to that philosophy....) Just an observation...

Wasn't a great back pass from Stephens in the first place IMO - It wasn't along the ground, which gave Bazunu something extra to worry about, and there were also other options than passing back to a keeper who had the opposition breathing down his throat, especially given we were already in injury time.

We're not going to go through the rest of the season winning comfortably every game. There'll be games like this where we dominate yet only manage to scrape a win in the end. Given our overall form, I'll happily take the less convincing wins. Past the 50 point mark and within touching distance of Ipswich (for now). Would have bitten your hand off for that 2 months ago! The continuity announcer before a 70s / 80s film is shown on terrestrial TV these days: "This film may contain references of the era which may be offensive now"... Channel 4 just did this before Planes, Trains & Automobiles... FFS... If it's so "offensive" then don't show it in the first place; if it's not then shut the f*** up!

I could be wrong (just for a change ) but I think what grinds people's gears is not *what* you post but *how* you post it. Purely observational (rather than a 'personal attack') but you do have a somewhat condescending / patronising / sanctimonious style to your writing. It's probably unintentional, and you might not be aware of how it comes across, but it's a fair observation of your posting style, I would venture. (Not that that makes it 'right' or 'wrong'... I'm not judging, just observing) Anyway, we all seem to be on the same wavelength at the moment regards the team's and manager's performances (huzzah!) so let's all march forward together! There's a remarkable lack of posts defending Russell Martin to the hilt in September from those who are now scoffing at those who were justifiably concerned at the time... Somewhat surprising given they obviously knew for certain that everything would work out fine...
