Team I would like to see start (assuming Diallo and Armstrong are unavailable) Forster KWP - Stephens - Salisu - Perraud Romeu - JWP Redmond - Djenepo Adams - Tella Bench: McCarthy, Livramento, Bednarek, Lynaco, Smallbone, Chauke, Broja, Armstrong, Ballard
-
Wonder why was he named on the bench today if ruled out yesterday...? Simple admin error or 'something else'...? (Conspiracy theorists of the world unite...)
-
Devils Advocate Klaxon... Maybe he didn't really think that on the inside, but said those words out loud to take the flack in order to protect his players? (No, I don't think so either but just playing the amateur philosopher... )
-
Ah, yes. Easy mistake
-
Yeah, being run a bit like a B&B in my opinion...
-
There was a poster on here a while back that kept using that word. Can't remember his name...
-
Yep, agree. KWP and Perraud to start the next game please.
-
I see your spelling hasn't improved....
-
Wasn't Diallo named on the bench though? But, yep, sounds like a late injury forced his hand somewhat.

Name 3 posters who think that Ralph didn't make any mistakes today. I've got all night so take as much time as you need. (Unless you're mistaking one poster for a 'cult' #chortle ?)

Fair point. I guess it depends why the majority of the team seemingly didn't seem "up for it". The early goal would have knocked the stuffing out of the starting 11, so that probably have had a bearing. (Yes, I know, they're professional footballers, and shouldn't seemingly throw in the towel so early, but I'm no psychologist so can't shed any light on why). These are the same players that played with esprit de corps during our recent decent run, so any concern I have with today's lacklustre performance is balanced by the belief that we can get our mojo back as quickly as we lost it. When Tella came on, he would have been in "I've got something to prove here," mode, having been overlooked for so long, so he was on a different agenda to the rest of the team when he came on.

If only you'd posted that before the start of the game, rather than waiting for the post match chat. We'd now all be hailing your prescience.
-
After conceding in the first couple of minutes, 4-0 is a better outcome than we were all fearing at that point. That's clutching-at-straws territory for anything positive in that performance though. Liverpool have put 4 past Man Utd and Arsenal this season, and 3 past plenty of others too, so in that context, it's not the end of the world. A couple of home games coming up to hopefully get some mojo back. P.s. Tella has to start next game, surely? The only Saints player who looked up for it today.
-
Assume they'll wheel out JWP for the usual "we'll learn from this and move on" post-match interview?
-
Yep, defo needs to start next game
-
One of Romeo's worst games for us IMO

I hate to say it but this is going to get close to 9 again, isn't it?
-
You should have posted that before the start of the game so we could have praised you for being so prescient.
-
Indeed. If that happens at the sharp end of the field then it would be given all day long.

Bugger 2-0
-
I don't understand why he's not looking across the line to see if he's onside or not. He's been miles offside waiting for a through ball a few times now. Basic stuff, surely?
-
Or chipped it over to Armstrong who would have had an open goal
-
We had a shot on goal!

I'm starting a sweepstake on when Lord D pops in with his witty Ralph crying quip... I'll go just after we concede a 3rd goal on 43 minutes. £1 a ticket
