Liverpool always have a smattering of 16/17/18 year olds on their bench for cup games, so don't see any reason we shouldn't put one of our 'starlets' on the bench too. Sometimes I feel we're too protective of said youngsters.

Sometimes, as a long suffering Saints fan, you get a hunch that a given manager isn't going to succeed. Nothing scientific, nothing logical, nothing rational, nothing tangible... Just a "been there, seen that, got the t-shirt" gut feeling, intuition, call it what you like.... I'm now getting that feeling with Still unfortunately.... Here's hoping I get to join the prestigious "glad my hunch proved to be unfounded" club at the end of the season. (But, as I said previously, there's no point in replacing him all the while the recruitment clowns at Sport Republic are still at the helm)

We need another player in the mould of Rickie Lambert, Pelle or Ings. Simple as that.

The fact that we've gone from firm favourites for automatic promotion at the start of the season to people now thinking that finishing below the playoffs is an acceptable / reasonable outcome tells us all we need to know about the situation we find ourselves in... Edit: apologies, just seen that several people already made this point. Great minds and all that... 😁

This ☝🏻 The 'replace' option needs to be split into two... - Replace with someone of the same ilk (i.e. what Sport Republic would do) - Replace with someone with the required experience and necessary gravitas (i.e. what Sport Republic wouldn't do) In other words, there's little point voting for 'Replace' given we'd end up in the same boat under Sport Republic. We need a change of ownership. Pure and simple.

I recall many people saying the same thing about our manager this time last year... I'm usually a 'benefit of the doubt' kinda guy but when you've witnessed the bus hurtling towards the cliff edge so many times, you kinda get a sixth sense that it's about to happen all over again... #groundhogday There's a fine line between 'giving a manager more time' and 'dithering'... We all know what Sport Republic will end up doing again this time around... Contrast the sychopancy of the local journos down here with those in Glasgow... I've nothing against Alfie (and Adam Blackmore) personally, but they're too in hock with the club to ever properly put them on the spot....

We've got one of the best squads in the division, and more spending power than most, so why would that logically lead anyone to not expect us to be promoted? The bookies had us down for automatic promotion, the club's stated aim was to go straight back up, most fans (both Saints and non-Saints) expected us to be promotion candidates, Uncle Tom Cobbly expected us to be promoted...
