Thought for the day... Given we're playing 3 teams this month whose managers are possibly on borrowed time (Sheff Utd, Arsenal & Fulham), what are the odds of us achieving a hat-trick of managers "getting sacked in the morning" in the aftermath of their game against us...? (MLG notes: yes, I know individual results don't get an opposition manager sacked, per se. It's more about straws and camels backs. I get it. Calm down... It's just inane small talk on an internet football forum... )

A plausible theory, but doesn't really fit with Ralph 'going public' in the media recently whereby he was saying the ball is in Danny's court

Well that's cheered me up no end. Cheers WS!

They say that it's nothing to do with Brexit and that it hasn't cost the Welsh Government anything. But that can obviously be filed under "yes, they would say that, wouldn't they?"...

Hypothetical question klaxon... If Ings 'did a Pogba' before the end of this month and declared he won't sign a new contract, either now or in the future, and then, say, Spurs pitched up with a, say, £75m offer in the January window, should we stick or twist?

So, a bit like putting suggestive wording like "Let's" on the side of a bus rather than something definitive...?

Yep, same here. Back to the 'default' starting 11 that has served us so well in this calendar year. Great to have Walcott and Djenepo on the bench to inject a bit of pace and unpredictability into the game in the last 20 mins or so.
-
Ings' impact on how well we play was emphasized tonight by our second half performance compared to the first. He has the effect of raising the game of those around him due to his work rate and higher level of class. Just highlights how much we'll miss him if this turns out to be his last season with us

Was him appealing for a handball appeal I think

Ralph: "ours was definitely a penalty but I don't know about the one against Prowsey as I haven't seen it" Wenger would be proud of your selective eyesight Ralph

Just shut the f**k up Carragher you tart
-
Potter being very pragmatic about the penalty in his post match interview. (Well, on camera anyway). Fair play to him

Regardless if whether it was a pen or not, how good was the ball from Vestergaard to KWP in the first place... Superb

Poor game but you know what they say about winning when you're not playing well... We'd have been fuming with that VAR decision. Brighton hard done by IMO. Vestergaard easily MotM. Very VvD-esque IMO. When does his contract expire...? Sheff Utd next. Onwards and upwards
-
The commentator obvious hasn't watched a Saints game for a while... practically declaring we've won with 3 minutes of normal time to go FFS
-
If it was 'clear' why did it take VAR about 16 attempts to work it out...? #havingitbothways
-
But VAR is there to decide if the ref made a clear and obvious error, not to overturn a marginal decision...

Tough on Brighton that
