  4. Newcastle giving a masterclass in how not to play against a team like Man City. Just sitting back letting them command midfield.
  5. 2-0 This City side look really good... Glad we don't have to play them in the run in... 😂
  6. Man City 1 Newcastle 0
  7. Man City v Newcastle (6pm) Sheff Utd v Wolves (6pm) West Ham v Burnley (6pm) Brighton v Liverpool (8.15pm) Man City, Wolves, West Ham and Liverpool wins please. (Yeah, I know.... wouldn't ordinarily want West Ham to win but we need Burnley to lose to improve our chances of finishing above them. Also don't want Brighton getting too close to us either)
  8. Sha la la la la la la la 😂
  9. The 'card effect' seems to only be for the 'activity' view (which is what I'm using). I get the same as you if I switch to the traditional forum view...

Saintsweb is the definately the best place for "Told you so" posts so fill your boots (almost up there with the number of "glad I was wrong" posts on here)

  19. Interesting... Cheers for posting. I wonder why Macquarie are "getting out of football"? You'd have thought lending to Premier League clubs was money for old rope
  20. I don't think anyone is suggesting that Adam Blackmore (or anyone else in his position) would know if a sale is imminent or not. The only reason I name-checked him is that he's said that this is 'busness as usual' and therefore 'nothing to see here folks'. He may well be right of course, however, I'm wondering why he's seemingly turning a blind eye to the differences that exist in the annual charging process compared to previous years and/or why he's concluded that these difference are of no consequence. As you say, he's not close enough to the decision making people to be able to make this 'nothing to see here' deduction, is he?
  21. A winning team will ultimately lose a subsequent game, ergo, surely the art of good management is to know when to change the team to best avert that eventuality....?
  22. I think that's a reasonable supposition. It's all very well the likes of Adam Blackmore (who I respect hugely) saying that this is 'business as usual' (which it is in principle) but there are several differences this time around that are worthy of wondering why IMO. (The differences could still transpire to be innocuous and/or inconsequential but that doesn't mean that they shouldn't be questioned until such time that is proven to be the case. )
