  2. Excellent. Means we could be only 6 points behind Leicester this evening
  3. Why the **** can't they at least say what the permutations and options are?
  4. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4209622/Secret-Scout-Southampton-new-star-Alfie-Jones.html
  5. Any chance someone could start a match build-up thread so we can discuss this weekend's game?
  6. On reflection, I don't think the half marathon taking place would prevent a 14:30 kick off. The half marathon is due to start at 9:30 am and the DW Stadium is at the 4 mile mark (Route Map: http://www.runwiganfestivals.co.uk/docs/Half%20Route%20B&W.pdf) . The race starts and finishes in the town centre, so should all be done and dusted by lunchtime. Sunday at 14:30 would be perfect for me. Bring it on!
  7. I'm inclined to disagree. Leicester beating Chelsea at home wouldn't be as newsworthy as another premier league team being knocked out by a third division team. Yes, there's probably more probability of Leicester beating Chelsea than Wigan beating us, but TV companies tend to prefer the potential of a giant killing in cup games, ergo I'd be surprised if our game wasn't the BBC's first pick. (After all, it's not the BBC's job to chase ratings and thus simply pick one of the 'big 6'... ahem...)
  8. I'd want to see Sims given a start but one assumes the manager would deem that 'too risky' at this stage of the season... --------------------- McCarthy ---------------------- -- Cedric --- Stephens ---- Hoedt ---- Bertrand -- ---------- Hojbjerg ------------ Lemina ------------ -- JWP --------------- Sims -------------- Tadic -- ----------------------- Guido ------------------------ Bench: Forster, McQueen, Yoshida/Bednarek, Romeu, Boufal, Hesketh/Redmond, Long/Obafemi/Gabbi
  9. My money's on the Friday, with Wigan's midweek game being moved back to the Tuesday. Just a hunch My preference would be for the Sunday but can't see that happening if, as someone mentioned above, there's a running event centred around the stadium on the same day.
  10. Cup win and support Pompey for a season or prem survival and scurvy?
  11. Cup win (I hope FF was sitting down when he read this.... The shock of me casting an opinion might be too overwhelming...)
  12. I'm not seeing (m)any saying that. Most people are simply stating the obvious that Wigan is a less difficult proposition than Man City.
  13. Wigan have a mid-week game before the cup weekend.
  14. About time their good fortune ran out then...
  15. Our game is likely to be first choice now...
  16. Full time. Get in!!!
  17. This is going to be the longest 10 minutes in the history of mankind
  18. Goooooaaaaaalllll!!!!!
  19. Ye Gods.... dontcha know life is more black and white than that? Choose one or the other man, FFS!!!!!
  20. Sometimes, maybe.
  21. Having seen the replay a few times I'm now in two minds. Foot is off the ground and not totally in control IMO. 50/50
  22. Red card every day of the week for me.
  23. Never any doubt Sims needs to get a run in the team. Adds a bit of a spark in the final third.
