To be fair, the current football club playing at Fratton Park (est. 2012) have been relatively financially prudent compared to the previous basket case of a football club that played there.

Probably because Pellegrino singled out Cedric in the pre-match press conference this morning as a player who wasn't certain to start tomorrow, due to arriving late back from international duty. Maybe he's not quite ready for 90 minutes and, as such, he'd rather start him on the bench? Wouldn't surprise me if that happened TBH.

That's a fair point and a good spot sir. It is indeed usually held two days before the game. I suppose the opening game of the season might be an exception for some reason?
