Van Gaal on his relationship with Ronald Koeman: "I think this is private." On facing Southampton: "I've read it also in the media. But do you know how much players we've lost. We have lost more players, I'm sorry." "Ronald Koeman is a very good coach so I know he can do it. It is very good." On whether it's better for Saints to have spent less money than United and to be higher: "No. Clubs ask more money from Manchester United. Do you think Southampton pay more money? NO, because it's Southampton." "I think they have a very good squad, some of whom I know. I think they are able to come in the first four. But that's also because I believe in the management, in Ronald Koeman...I believe the cohesion is good, and he can manage."

@bigadamsport: #saintsfc fans of @jackcork1 will be pleased @RonaldKoeman just told me he's let the club know he'd like to keep Cork beyond the summer

Koeman: Cork out for at least 6 weeks (ankle ligaments). Morgan is "doing well" but is not fit for Monday. Toby hasn't got a hamstring injury but is still a doubt for Monday. Tadic is OK. JWP will be back in full training at the end of next week.

I'm not getting this at all. "The club" are owned by the fans. So how come the owners of "the club" are in the dark until "the club" make a further statement? Why are they withholding information from themselves? Either you're a co-owner of the club or your not, surely? "Ours" my arse

So, you're twice as likely to cause an accident during a hands-free phone call as you are if you have the maximum legal amount of alcohol in your system. Would be interesting to see similar comparative stats for all other forms of distraction and/or lack of underlying intelligence.
-
I'd need to see the statistics that show how many accidents are solely caused as a result of driving with 80mg before being able to come to a conclusion.

Yeah, I noticed that they make the distinction between Trust shareholders and club "shareholders" in the agenda, but its still littered with references to the Trust and individuals being "shareholders" of the club.
-
How many more times do they have to be told that they're not "shareholders"? They made a donation to the club. Nothing more, nothing less.

I reckon the SNP will end up holding the balance of power....

Good write up in the Guardian from last night
trousers replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
I'm currently having a debate with an Arsenal supporting 'friend' on Facebook....I posted that a draw would have been a fair result whereas he's adamant that it wouldn't have been because we only came close to drawing because of Forster's saves. My argument is that Fraser has every right to influence the outcome of the games as an in form striker scoring a hat trick does. Just because Fraser made some great saves doesn't mean that a draw wouldn't have been a 'fair' result per se. If 'fairness' was all about matching stats with outcomes then Man City's victory on Sunday could be classed as 'not fair' as we had more possession and a similar number of chances. Anyone else think that a draw vs Arsenal wouldn't have been a fair result? -
This. 28 years and counting for me
