I don't know why you have plucked 10 reasons out of the air. Not every reason has equal weighting. The link I posted previously shows the club are extending hours to sell season tickets on the last three days of the month. If they didn't want to sell season tickets the office hours wouldn't be extended. You didn't answer question 2) - Instead you say "Come on, let's stay on subject". Which is exactly what YOU don't do when you use petty insults in replies to people i this and other threads.
-
1) Explain why they are doing this...? http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2074098,00.html 2) Explain why whenever someone has a difference of opinion with you on this forum you use petty insults or fling around accusations?
-
How can anyone have a "serious debate" with someone like you, that replies to any point you disagree with using a petty insult or accusation?
-
Maybe the club has done some research and realised the cost of printing and posting 13,000 letters isn't worth it when people will make the decision on their own. Someone that spends £400 on a season ticket and take 3+ hours out of their lifes on 23 days of the year clearly thinks about the club alot and it is a significant part of their life. They don't need a letter to sell it to them or remind them.
-
Printing and posting out 13,000 reminders would cost a huge amount. Especially when it wouldn't make a jot of difference to 99.9% of those it is sent to. Waste of money. They will decide themselves past on their experiences from last season (and previous seasons), their own financial position and other factors. The club have clearly decided they'd lose more money sending out 13,000 reminders then they would gain from it changing minds. It is a business decision based on information on ticket numbers you and I aren't privy to.
-
Yet again more petty insults. Can you really not talk to someone without insulting them? You ignored this... Explain to me why the club would deliberately be trying to lose season ticket holders?
-
Are you not doing the exact thing you accuse me off? You sound like a broken record and resort to petty insults. You still have failed to respond to my point that everyone in this country has access to the internet if they want. Especially those lucky enough to afford to goto 23 football games a year!
-
Can you name a season ticket holder that doesn't have access to the internet or a phone? I'd say that every existing season ticket holder has Saints as quite a high priority in their life already! Spending £400 a year is quite an investment. As is taking 3+ hours out of you life on 23 days over the course of a season. They aren't going to make such decisions over to renewal or not on a whim.
-
At least I can construct an argument without resorting to petty insults. I may be wrong in my view but at least I keep it civil. When someone starts flinging about insults it is normally due to their argument having little substance. Are you telling me the other 30% don't have access at work/uni/college/school/internet cafes/libraries?
-
I think the experience of going to 23 home games the previous season helps people make up their mind if they want to spend £400 again for a season ticket, more than a leaflet will. If you are willing to spend hundreds on a season ticket you are already more than just a fan with a passing interest in the club and a leaflet will make no difference. I'm not the one that claim season ticket holders don't have access to the internet, which is clearly rubbish. Yet you haven't retracted that statement. Everyone in the country has access at home/work/uni/college/school/internet cafe/free library internet computers.
-
I seriously doubt any season ticket holder at St Mary's doesn't have access to the internet from at least one of home/work/uni/college/school/internet cafe/free library internet computers I seriously doubt any season ticket holder doesn't have access to the ticket office number and doesn't have access to at least one of a landline/mobile/public phonebox Every season ticket holder knows season tickets go on sale in the summer. There really is no excuse.

It isn't the 15th July yet...

Here is another shocker... Charlie Brooker used to write reviews for PC Zone. Someone has got a Brooker review from 1998 for this terrible game and made a video of the review using footage of the game and the video maker reads Brooker's words.)

This is the winner surely...? Review 1 Review 2

The Official Summer Transfers and HCDAJFU Thread
Matthew Le God replied to supersonic's topic in The Saints
Only if no players are sold and everyone currently at the club is registered. You forget players can be sold and also players can not be registered. Freeing up space for more signings. -
They made changes to the rules at their meeting in Malta a few weeks ago. That could leave Pompey screwed. Have they been keeping up to date with this? I doubt it as it took an administrator months to work out the debt so they didn't submit any accurate financial reports to the Footballing authorities.
-
I don't know. But I can't see why it would be lifted before the 28 days ends. Otherwise if the CVA did collapse and they have signed players and offered people like David James a contract it is even more of a mess. The Football League if it has any sense would wait until 15th July 2010. Does anyone know what happens in this regard?
-
Yep, has to be signed off by the court after the 28 day cooling off period has elapsed without an appeal. I would think the transfer embargo must also have to remain in place in case the CVA collapses. So no new players or offers to out of contract players until 15th July.

Lots more redundancies. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/Pompey-to-talk-with-foreign.6371400.jp Feel sorry for them if they lose their livelihoods(some been working for Pompey for 17 years) just to pay the wages of Marlon Harewood.
-
An interesting read, mentions both James Ward-Prowse and Jake Sinclair. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1840272,00.html

It is is just a tick he has.

11 minute video of the Steve Cotterill press conference... http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/New-Pompey-boss-Steve-Cotterill.6371325.jp (the paper needs to get a better camera) Strange he was given a three year deal and not a rolling contract or one/two year deal. A new owner might come in and decide they don't want Cotterill and have to pay him off. Also if the CVA appeal goes through they are also stuck with Cotterill on a 3 year deal.

That is extremely difficult to do in the football world. Word quickly gets out and also other clubs see him when they play Saints.
