And Pardew has come in from 25/1 to 8/1 3rd favourite. You have to keep in mind this odds are just reflecting the money being put on them. Many punters will just be putting the unrest stories and Pardew's West Ham past together and assuming he is off. I then becomes a snowball effect with money following shortening odds as others think something must be happening if the odds tumble.

Cortese talked in interview of eventually expanding St Mary's or moving to a new site. This news probably increases the chances of the relocation appearing to be more appealing. That way a purpose designed "Kop stand" can be built from scratch.
-
Who were these people? Sometimes rumours are self fueling and start to snowball even if they are completely untrue. One person reads a rumour one one site, posts it on another site. Then the first site sees the second site and uses it to justify the original.

How is he? All he has done is not go to a game. The media and fans on places like this forum are the ones filling in the rest. It may or may not be correct but the air restrictions is the most likely reason he missed the game. He has no reason to explain every move he makes and rumours that grow from them!

I wonder if the CVA proposal will have possible relegation to League One factored into the repayments scheme?
-
I did use the terms "what if" and "may". It has been confirmed by Cortese in interview that the club spent more in January than intended originally. It is out of this world to speculate that the additional spending came with conditions.

Now we know who is in the Playoffs, who do you want to go up?
Matthew Le God replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
Well it does. Saints want to win the league or at the very least be promoted via the playoffs next season so it is in Saints interest for the division to contain the weakest 23 clubs possible after the playoffs in League One and League Two. -
But what if Pardew agreed to getting extra funds in January on the condition that he'd finish in the playoffs? He "may" have dug the hole for himself. Norwich have spent no where near what Pardew has on players and backroom staff. Paul Lambert had no pre season with the team and joined 3 weeks later than Pardew joined Saints and also after a 7-1 home defeat. Norwich were also a mess in the summer in terms of their squad. Take 10 points away from Norwich and they are still 1st. Take 10 points away from Saints and they are 7th. I don't want Pardew to go, but he should have done better given the gulf in resources at his disposal compared to the 23 other clubs in League One. Stick with him and Saints "should" win the league. But a "possible" agreement in January that Pardew has now broken may mean that Cortese has a reason to let him go.

The Official Summer Transfers and HCDAJFU Thread
Matthew Le God replied to supersonic's topic in The Saints
He is on wages circa £35k p/w and you think we'd match that or meet his ambition in League One? -
Some very odd logic in this post. You dismiss Maclaren who has just won the Dutch League with a tiny club. Yet rule in the current Ajax manager.

Not near the top of the thread list or the search bar clearly.

Otsemobor is not on loan he signed a 6 month contract which ends in the summer. Thomas is not a right back and neither is Harding.

Markus not at the game as he was not happy
Matthew Le God replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
Anyone with common sense and access to the news would do the same. Over the last few days they have said flight restrictions will possibly be coming back in very soon. Yes, he could have flown to England on Friday. However he would be aware that he may not have been able to get a flight back on Saturday night or Sunday and thus he'd be stuck in the UK when he possibly had things to do back in Switzerland. -

Matthew Le God replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
But there was uncertainty about if they'd need to close over the rest of the weekend or not and Markus may have thought he'd get stuck in the UK unable to get back. So instead decided not to risk it. -

1) Flybe have a sponsorship deal for 46 League games. Why would they accept Saints playing with their logo on the shirt for 45 League games? It would be a breach of contract unless paid off. 2) The whole point of the new shirt is to commemorate 125 years, it detracts somewhat if you wear it in the season before.

Doesn't work for me either. Have you emailed them, using the "contact us" page?
-
Pardew has stated he is going to play his best team. So you can come.
-
You are indeed correct. Rules have changed since then.
-
This isn't the Premiership.

He was commenting on the strength of the League not that of Celtic. The top ten League One clubs are bigger and better than the ten Non Old Firm teams.

Comparisons? Not a perfect match of course. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/l/luton_town/7507736.stm http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/l/leeds_united/6920103.stm 10 points out of the 30 point deduction Luton Town had were for financial irregularities in payments to agents. So the Football League do dish out punishment even if it is criminal. There do seem to be some odd dealings with Pompey and agents. Mandaric, Storrie and Redknapp all have court cases for tax evasion and convicted fraudster Daniel Azougy was left advising operations. From the Creditors document on page 5
