  1. It doesn't create a good initial impression though does it?
  2. Chance to take 35k of us to Wembley shouldn't be laughed at
  3. Dyslexia doesn't prevent you from using a spell checker to come over as at least a little like a professional businessman.
  4. If someone connected with him had started this rumour of course he would deny it. The theory for starting the rumour would be to boost his own chances - which of course it wouldn't anyway. Why start a negative campaign only to later admit to it? I do however believe that he isn't connected to the rumour because if he were to be behind it he is more stupid than his poor spelling suggests. If this email is indeed from him!
  5. Shearer for Saints? Not the most reliable source http://www.people.co.uk/sport/football/tm_headline=shearer-the-toon-is-floating-towards-oblivion%26method=full%26objectid=21421343%26siteid=93463-name_page.html
  6. The OP is more about the Echo's use of Nick or Richard for "newsworthy articles", not the content of what they both say.
  7. tbf its better than looking like this You don't have to wear the colours to the game to be a good fan.
  8. Yes, in respect to being a leading story in a large regional newspaper.
  9. He did indeed. I'd be happy if he were to be appointed.
  10. He did indeed. I'd be happy if were to be appointed.
  11. Is there a link to this clip anywhere?
  12. My point in the OP is less about Nick(as I said he is entitled to his views as long as he makes it clear they are just his views) and more about the Echo using his views as a newsworthy article.
  13. He has never managed in League One!
  14. So you wouldn't like Strachan back if the very unlikely happens and he fancied a return? Or any other manager Championship level or higher experience?
  15. The backer for Saints deal is worth "several hundred million". OK we don't know how much he will invest, but Tony Lynham has said it will be "sustained investment" with a "5 year plan to get back to the Premiership". Its just words at the moment but its not as bad as you make out(I hope based on what Tony has said).
  16. I never said Chorley was in the article. I said this article is an example! Chorley has been used by other media outlets for similar purposes. To an extent I agree with what Nick says. However it irks me that he is a largely self appointed "voice of the fans" in media circles.
  17. Will they ever realise that there own personnal views cannot be taken as a general view of Saints fans as a whole? Unlikely it seems. This being a good example http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4423894.Saints_fans_want_boss_with_League_One_experience/ If ever there was a non story this is it. Nick and Richard are entitled to expressing their views but to use it as a "this is Saints fans view on X" each time by the media is very poor journalism.
  18. I said "a tad harsh" You are right he hasn't done alot but has stiff oposition in front of him for a starting place with Glen Johnson at right back.
  19. He is a regular in the England Under 21's and is going to the Euro's so even though not playing at Pompey that statement is a tad harsh
  20. People keep harping on about his scoring record. 14 goals in 46 games. They seem to forget... i) For large parts of the season he wasn't playing as a striker! At times he was wide right and also played deeper behind the two strikers(Euell and Saga in the 442 diamond under Wotte) or behind one striker in an atacking midfield role under Poorvliet. ii) He was in a struggling side that produced very few opportunities for him.
  21. Really?
  22. And why haven't you given a name? They clearly won't mind him being revealed if they are out in public with him. Or are you messing with us? I'm guessing you mean Wotte
  23. Not quite what the OP makes out then
  24. 1.4p per day is hardly going to tip you over the edge into bankruptcy is it?
  25. 1) It's a different company to the Forest sponsors 2) Pinnacle aren't buying us they are acting on behalf of a client so doesn't really matter about their finances(to an extent )
