  1. I think its more the case that they don't have a clue whats going on.
  2. St Mary's doesn't need to be expanded for that. Thus would cost no extra money.
  3. Anfield won't exist in 2018! From the opening post Only one city can have more than one stadium. Obviously that will be London.
  4. Nothing to do with the FL or PL. Also if Saints didn't apply it is hardly the FA's fault.
  5. You could have two seperate "home ends" in the stadium (one with red seats one with blue) and one away end
  6. 1) The Dell was sold out pretty much every game 2) The "Save our Saints Game" didn't sell because many are undr the impression that a buyer will soon be in place and so no need for the game. Any that want to donate will do anyway. Just because two people come up with an event to help something you support doesn't mean you have to attend it. 3) I wouldn't swap with you right now. We are at the bottom of a downward spiral and will be working our way up from next season onwards. Pompey are on their way down and yet to reach the bottom. Your debts will cripple you!
  7. I didn't say bog standard. I said "bog standard for a new ground". Plenty of teams now have similar quality and aren't in the Premiership, Derby, Coventry, MK Dons, Leicester etc. My original point a few posts back is that it was wrong to call St. Mary's "state of the art". This term is often wrongly used and in St. Mary's case a 30 million pound stadium is clearly not state of the art compared to many other clubs around the world spending over 100m on stadiums. I'm not saying St Mary's isn't a good stadium. It clearly is. But lets not over do it Oh, and yes I have been there many many times
  8. Yes it is. However it is nothing special.
  9. St. Marys is far from "state of the art". Wembley or Emirates are state of the art and groundbreaking stadiums. St. Mary's is a bog standard 30k new ground like many others around the country.
  10. That isn't irony
  11. Buy Saints today for 9m. Spend 20m and get to the Premiership. Sell for close to 100m. Make 71m profit (potentially )
  12. Nick do you know anything about any possible appeal for the -10 points and the impact of that on this bid?
  13. You've told us its been connected with it many times. So surely there is no harm telling us is there? I hope Ponty follows through his threat if Nick doesn't expand on this
  14. An interesting opening... Is this a hint to a future role for him if a new manager is appointed?
  15. He hardly had the service and amount of chances someone like Ebanks-Blake had did he? He is playing for a relegated side and this is a major factor. Also Mcgoldrick for alot of the season played a deeper role and sometimes out wide so was hardly a striker for all 45 games.
  16. He may as well have said...
  17. Leon Crouch either had no intention of paying 2m as there is no way Michael Wilde would agree to this. Or he is thicker than Baldrick and believed Wilde would be happy with these strange terms. Just put the money in yourself if you care that much!
  18. Another reason why I'm glad Crouch is gone. He really hasn't a clue.
  19. Unlikely someone would go to the expense of due dilligence etc only to put in an unrealistic offer. Any bid is likely to only be at the very bottom of the range at worse without falling into "unrealistic" realms. Not worth the time and effort getting to this point otherwise as they would be aware it would be rejected and liquidation follow.
  20. a good bid >>>>>>>>>> a poor bid and liquidation at a future point >>>>> liquidation now Any bid will be accepted imo if its the only one. A bid gives the creditors money now and still the oportunity to assest strip in the future if liquidation is needed. Thus would provide more money than just asset stripping now.
  21. Any bid is better than no bid for the creditors. If only one bid is on the table it will be accepted as the alternative is liquidation and everyone loses.
