  1. Why does the Saints TV guy keep calling the away kit "Slate" grey? It is "Flint" grey according to the club
  2. I hope we have 11 players
  3. The dog quite clearly didn't make the call. The owner made it during his attack and then passed out and all the operator could here was the dog.
  4. Grow up, for a start you are asking me that question on the computer forum of an internet football club messageboard. So does your question apply to you aswell?
  5. The crown is part of the 1885 Southampton badge so you can't take it out. Look here http://www.geckosaint.com/badges.htm
  6. Thats fine. I don't have a problem with you not liking the design. Its just your arguement about tradition lacked any logic due to the small amount of time and relative tradition compared to the age of the club the current badge has.
  7. The club has existed for nearly 125 years it has had its current badge for not even a 1/3 of that time. Under 40 years! So how is that tradition? For over 80 years the club did NOT have the badge you have have tattoo of on you. So your tattoo actually is the thing without the tradition by your logic.
  8. Since the early 1970's when a fan designed it in an Daily Echo competition I think. Since then it has only changed slightly.
  9. What about in a one off to celebrate 125 years of Southampton in 2010? As my badge links 1885 to 2010 As for your tattoo, I think you will find it hard to name many clubs in this country that haven't changed their badge and Saints current badge isn't that old itself(circa 1970's)
  10. I mixed current(scarf and halo) with the 1885 badge in order to mix old and new rather than something completly different from whats gone before. The scarf/halo/football combination allows for recognition it is still Southampton. The 1885 part is a link to the distant history and roots of the club.
  11. The current Saints badge was designed in the 1970's so hardly that much tradition! My Saints badge has more tradition as part of it was the 1885 badge and part of it is the current badge.
  12. Name a team that hasn't changed its badge much since they first made one? The Southampton badge has already changed alot over time. In fact all the parts of my badge have already been on a Southampton badge.
  13. Thats a good idea, just a one off season badge with a home kit from 1885 http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Southampton/Southampton.htm
  14. A halo isn't head gear as it floats above the head
  15. Discussed on here a few times before. Almost every team in recent years has made significant changes to their badges. The current Saints badge only came into existed in the 1970's so hasn't always been used. Just look here http://www.geckosaint.com/badges.htm for a badge history of Southampton. Below is my design for my Football Manager Live team called St. Marys Y.M.A. but it could be easily used for Saints. It combines the current Saints badge with the very first Saints badge from 1885. In 2010 we could use this badge and the home kit from 1885 in our 125 year anniversary year http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Southampton/Southampton.htm
  16. My team is St Mary's Y.M.A. (the original name of Southampton F.C. in 1885) and I'm in the Shearer gameworld. Perhaps we could have a Saints forum league if everyone joins the Shearer gameworld http://www.footballmanagerlive.com/ Use this thread to list your team name and what gameworld you are in. Here is my team badge (A combination of the very first Southampton badge in 1885 and the current Southampton badge) Home Kit Away Kit 3rd Kit
  17. Pay £5 and I'll tell you then
  18. I won't tell you in the thread as it may spoil it for others. I'll PM you in abit. EDIT: you don't have PM's enabled!
  19. Yes The ones that are good in real life have high PA, well in my opinion anyway
  20. It will have most of them. You have to remember it is a slim-lined version of the PC/Mac game
  21. they are still very small amounts in the grand scheme of things
  22. Payment comes in the way of a free copy of the game. Not alot in terms of financial value compared to the hours you put in but there are a few other perks to the role
  23. Why? I haven't seen if the article is as the opening post states however from the BBC gossip column...
