Why would it be a risk to change the starting XI that was in terrible form at the end of the season? I'd be surprised if Bazunu and Aribo didn't start vs Spurs. Also wouldn't rule out Bella-Kotchap and Lavia either.

The phrase 'top league side' can mean a team that plays in a top league. Which is what they were.

They were a top league side when he played for them last season.

You appear to think I've said something I have not said.

You don't know what the truth is.

It was half a friendly and the captain and vice captain weren't playing. They don't need to groom someone to be captain using half a friendly.

Being captain for one half of a friendly because Ward-Prowse and Romeu weren't on the pitch isn't an indication of anything apart from him being a senior player in the squad.
