  1. He is 4th choice centre back, so isn't really needed in the matchday squad if the other three are fit.
  2. After some years of decline in league performance, Southampton under 18s are finally back performing! Of course what really matters is the quality of youth player reaching the 1st team rather than league position. But it is an encouraging sign! (Some very promising players in the age groups below the u18s aswell)
  3. What exactly are you bored off? Saints like every team bar about four or five in world football is a selling club.
  4. Cheer up! We don't know what will happen, but they are below us in the table so maybe a bit more optimism than just writing off a game 2 hours before kick off!
  5. Whelk is Karen!
  6. My pleasure 😇
  7. The last official club accounts published in March 2022 show the wage bill to be £113.4 million https://www.southamptonfc.com/news/2022-03-20/st-marys-football-group-financial-statement-202021
  8. He cost Everton £50m and is a regular in the Brazil squad. I don't see us getting him.
  9. There is a translate button on Twitter, plus on browsers.
  10. 15 goals for a Championship striker isn't particularly impressive. Adam Armstrong scored 29 Championship goals last season and so far looks out of his depth for Saints.
  11. Saints already have a director of football... Matt Crocker https://uk.linkedin.com/in/matt-crocker-938872188 Job title = Director of Football Operations I think he seems (from the outside) to be doing a pretty decent job since he returned from his role with the FA. Does he really need replacing?
  12. Jamie Carragher... https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/jamie-carragher-i-crazy-everton-3471742.amp
  13. Not from an existing contract.
  14. Why would he do that? Would you give up millions of pounds?
  15. Yet again you are making it clear you don't understand statistics. Each chance is given a value from 0 to 1 based on comparing it to similar chances in other games and the liklihood of those being goals. I think the key issue is you misunderstanding the purpose of using xG.
  16. No-one But so what? You completely miss the fundamental point of xG. xG is all about % liklihood of scoring that chance comparing it to similar chances in those conditions and how often it results in a goal. That is why it can be not a whole number.
  17. Your post started with saying "I’ve never quite understood", which is confusion. I've attempted to explain it. Clearly you still don't understand how xG works.
  18. The video explains your confusion as to why it isn't a whole number.
